I awoke from a sound sleep this morning to a weird sensation. I had the strange acidic taste of orange peel in my mouth, my throat was burning and I began to cough!

I ran to the bathroom and coughed up a little bit of bitter fluid.

I rinsed and had a few sips of water, the Orange peel taste has subsided to a certain degree.

This is new and different!

Has anyone else experienced this?

I am doing this from my iPad and just noticed the damned autocorrect changed the thread title from weird experience to wide experience!

What is a reduced? I am on a daily dose of Prilosec now, do I need to increase that?

Be careful, I started with these same symptoms about 2 months out. It turned out to be gallstones and I had to have my gallbladder removed. I'm hoping that it is just extra acid for you. Be sure to not let your pouch be empty for too long.
