Aren't we lucky in this day and age to have this available - technology to contact others in a supportive and informative forum, and *also* surgery to help us to help ourselves

I am a 51 year old female, from Western Australia and are booked in to have a gastric sleeve +/- minimizer band on Feb 2nd 2015.
Just done the ticker countdown thingie, and 'cos I've been putting it out of my mind, was surprised to see that is only in 29 days!

I am being operated on by Mr Stephen Watson at SJOG Murdoch, Perth, Western Australia.

???? What is a minimizer band...I thought may lap band but the +/- confused me?
After reading this I looked it up online as I never heard of it but it appears to be done a lot in your country . Since it is new I wonder what the added success rate is .Also longer term if it has some of the complications of the lap band .please keep us posted if you do get this band with your sleeve .
