Am i not loosing tons of weight because I am not drinking water ??? Also because I cant get more then 30 grams of protein down a day??

I am in the same boat. I was 365 when I had surgery in February and I am down to 280 right now. But I do notice that its hard for me to drink my protein and the water is not so bad since I use a lot of crystal light in it. I can only get 30 grams of protein in a day if I am lucky. What kind of protein are you drinking?

Premier Protein in Chocolate. I just got a bunch of Quest bars to try and I think I will be getting some cream of chicken with protein.
I am only now trying to get my protein from other sources. I do eat protein but i have to be honest and say that sometimes my tummy hurts so bad that I want only a few crackers. I know I have to be more mind full about it, I can no longer "wing it" with my food.

You are down 50 pounds!! That is great. I have problems with foods as well. I hate feeling nauseated and I almost feel better when I don't eat. I still like to get in a protein shake when I can but I am positive I don't get near enough protein each day. I hope things feel better for you soon. I am trying to get myself more active which is easier said than done. Lol

Think about it you are down an average of 16 pounds a month!!! That is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! you will have your slow times and then you will have weeks where you rock... its all part of the journey... you are loosing thats all that matters!!!!! I am down a total of 74 pounds, I had my surgery 7 months ago... I have had months (like in September) I only lost 1.6 pounds this month so far.. however last month I lost 10... I went 3 weeks at the exact same weight... I think what helped me is I started working out more, started the C25k training, and lifting weights... and now I am back to counting my calories on my fitness pal, I think that all helped me past my plateau!

I will tell you though not until last month, I COULD NOT drink regular water, it hurt drinking and did not taste good to me... so I always mixed it with crystal light.. but now I can which is great!!!

    Good luck!

I used Unjury products at first. The chicken soup is a great and I also bought the unflavored powder and mixed it in with lots of things. Pure protein bars and very high in protein. Can you eat greek yogurt?

Yes, I love Greek yogurt....I keep forgetting about it. I have a mini fridge in my office....I am HR so I get a private office with a mini fridge.
Boss says he hates them but I said Id like to keep it because of all my dietary issues. Its no issue for someone else if your food gets eaten...but with me, its a huge issue. i even have 7oz little cans of soda for when I need a sugar rush. Mix it with ice and let the fizz die and it tastes great. it helped with AF visited this past week, so far this week, im good with just tea.

I just had somen noddles with fish cake, thank goodness I have a trashcan, because that came back up. Maybe its the rice vinegar.

Thats true, I could not shift 10 pounds no matter how hard i tried. Basically, I just eat what I want right now, and sometimes its just a bite or two

From what I hear, you definitely should not be drinking soda. Maybe get a burst of energy from fruit, or something healthy?

You are doing great. How wonderful to be able to say You have lost 50 lbs. You rock! I agree with Adrianna, keep it steady get as much protein and water as you can tolerate. I got moving right away and I walk and dance and it has helped immensely. I still find foods I can't tolerate every now and then. Banana and pineapple being two of them. I love them but they don't love me anymore for some reason.

We all lose at different rates and if you are patient with yourself pretty soon it all starts to add up and you have lost an amazing amount of weight!

Good luck and God Bless you

You are averaging 3.6lbs a week. I think that is pretty darn good.

So I went in to buy a new pair of jeans for tonight...size 20, down from 24....becasuse the 24 falls off me now.

Anyway, the young lady said something that gave me a great idea...Icey drink Rock for me....since at work we have an ice machine, why not blend my protein shot (45 grams) with ice and water and drink it like a slushee?? Sound great huh?? I win on 2 levels.

Anyone try ice in their shake???

Good idea. I'm going to try adding ice and water and see how it goes. The protein shot alone is more than I can handle. Thanks for sharing.
