    Default Waiting on Insurance Approval

    Hi All,

I have not been online in a while between travel, work, life etc I have been very busy. However, a lot has happened since my last post. I had my last NUT visit 8/26/14 all went well there and I had my psych eval 8/19/14. All of my clinicals went up to United Healthcare on 8/28/14 so now I am just waiting on my approval. Trying my best not to call every other day to check the status lol but I just need to know my response. Throughout my 6 month medically supervised diet I can not say that I was put on any actual kind of diet. What I can say is that I managed to learn throughout this 6 months was to stop chewing gum....limited next to no carbonated drinks...I was down to have having none at all then I made the mistake of indulging one day and I have been having 2 or 3 a week. So I am working on not having it again. I have learned to eat my protien first in all meals and I have become much more active. At the end of my psych eval the docotor told me she saw no reason wht I wouldn't be successful long term with the surgey and that I was very educated when it came to nutrition etc. After so many years of dieting and off and on again vegan I am well versed on nutrition and what one should be doing to maintain healthy lifestyle. I am just ready for the surgery so that I can have that xtra line of defense with portion control. I am excited and looking forward to it. At first I was only planning to take 3 or 4 days off after my surgery because I work from home 2 to 3 days out of the week but now I think I am going to take whatever time the doctor reccomends off. My job can be very stressful and I don't want anything to negativly impact this new begininning. I will post again after I hear back from the insurance.
