I am 6 days post op. I have been feeling ok. Nauseous at times. But my stomach gurgles a lot. When I drink or eat my soup. Any one else experience this. Does it lesson or go away eventually?
It is normal and it is your intestines gurgling. Most of the time we eat solid foods we do not hear our bowels moving as much but with liquids I have noticed my bowel tones are hyperactive and I can hear them every time I eat or drink liquids because that is all that is moving through our bowel system right now. Hope that helps.

Neat! It's nice to have someone close to surgery like me. I had cream of tomato , cream of mushroom, and meatless split pea. I like the split pea bc it has so much more protein than the tomato and mushroom. How about you? What have you had? This is phase 2 for me. I'm already sick of it. But I have until August 2 to stay on this.
How are you feeling? I still have insicion pain, but my gas is not bad at all. I'm tired. Not sleeping great. Hoping the gurgling goes away and I start feeling better.
Mainly won ton broth and chicken broth. I want to add in creamed soups for something different.
I have protein shakes 2x a day, but it takes me hours to get the whole thing down.
Pain at incision still, especially one spot. Not really gas pain though.

I had surgery March 2013. My stomach gurgles all the time and makes weird noises. I have been diagnosed with severe GERD. I have had two endoscopy's to see what kind of damage was happening and to see if it has gotten worse. I now have chronic acid reflux and will be on meds rest of my life. They said there was nothing that could be done about my stomach making noises, It is embarrassing to me so I choose not to go out to places unless its noisy etc. But I do not regret this surgery as this has transformed my life! I can live with this knowing I am healthier than before.
Hi Feather - I'm starting to have severe gurgling 2 months after surgery. I also am having acid taste in the back of my throat. I'm waiting to hear from the doctor. Just wondering, what did they give you to take for this? I've been on prescription strength Nexium since my surgery so I'm surprised this is happening to me.
Im almost two weeks after my surgery and My stomach still gurgles sometimes. I just deal with it though. My mom thinks it is because My body is not used to the small portions yet. Lol.
