Have my taste buds stopped working?? Nothing I drink tastes good anymore! I'm really tired of water, Powerade, diluted juices, milk, and protein drinks. I'm craving a Coke Icee more than anything. What else is there to drink?
I drink great big glasses of ice water with Orange/Tangerine Mio flavor enhancer in it. I never have liked water, but I can't get enough of it with the Orange Flavor in it. It is very refreshing.
Best of luck - keep trying, you will find something that will hit the spot.

I actually cheat when it comes to soda. I'm not a fan of sodas like coke, or mountain dew, but sparkling water. I shake off some of the gas. To some people, flat soda is the worst thing on the planet, but maybe you can get something of a fix from that. Mix up powerade w/ gatorade 2, sobe zero cal, and vitamin water zero. Fruit flavoured teas, coffee and broth works just as well. Depending on how far post op you are, smoothies can be as yummy as you want!
I cant stand water or the flavorings to put in it. I drink diet iced tea from one of my local grocery stores, Rouses. Red Diamond diet tea isnt too bad, the Winn Dixie brand is okay as well. I drink coffee as well but couldnt tolerate it fot a few months after surgery.

I hate the taste of artificial sweeteners, so I add natural flavors to my water.....lemon, berries muddled in the glass, fresh mint, orange, etc. you can mix and match to your taste and your nit using empty calories from artificial stuff. Im down 80 pounds thanks, in part, to doing this.
I used to drink 90 - 100 oz of water a day pre-surgery. Now I can't stand the "taste" of plain water or anything too cold. I also hate Crystal Light. Luckily, I never did drink soda, so that hasn't been a craving at all post-surgery. I drink at least one Propel a day, a plant based protein powder (they are a nasty texture, but I can't do whey or any of the other kinds of protein powder), 2 cups of coffee with soy creamer, and hot/lukewarm tea with Splenda all day long. Occasionally, I will also have a cup of decaf after my full-butane coffee. My nutritionist has also recommended fruit and herbed steeped water or stevia flavored drops to add to regular water. I haven't tried either yet, but as the summer heat comes on I might particularly since hot tea and coffee just make you hotter
I get most of my fluids from herbal tea. I make a thermal carafe in the morning (I bought one of those pump-style ones that generally hold coffee) and it stays hot well into the evening (it actually will still be quite warm the next morning when I pour out the tea from the day before). It holds about 2.5 litres and I put 3 tea bags in it. I have a truckload of different types of herbal tea, now. LOL
I like vitamin zero waters, decaf iced tea, fat free milk, and some crystal lights and mios
I've never liked plain water
I drink SoBe Lifewater. Some favors have more sugar, so watch for them. I usually only have one a day.
I love the Sobe Lifewater too but only drink the ones with zero calories and probably just one (if that) a day - not too good on fluids - never was. I do drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day, - that is pretty much it. I am always thirsty but never think to carry a water. I truly miss being able to down a glass of water when I am thirsty. I have yet to understand why I can eat a 5 oz container of greek yogurt but I can't take more than 3 gulps of water at a time without having a very uncomfortable feeling.
