Default Need some NON-SWEET POST-OP LIQUID PHASE protein ideas

Dont mind protein bars and shakes and stuff..but I don't have a big sweet tooth..and I will go insane with nothing but sweet stuff for weeks..Anyone know how the bariatric soups taste? Anyone have alternative ideas for liquid protein phase? the stuff i eat now won't be able to eat for a while..like the protein chips and ostrim beef jerky. I know that people can add non flavored protein powders to stuff but I was told that adding it to hot products does something to it (I can't remember what she said the problem was) but it wasnt the best option..IDEAS PLEASE

Isopure RTD 0 carb isn't sweet at all. I haven't found a flavour that have made me fallen, and I believe I've tried all of them. Celebrate has a chicken soup I'm not crazy about and Unjury has a chicken soup I enjoy. The Celebrate vitamins ENS tastes okay and isn't too sweet in my opinion. What you've heard about protein powders is correct. Many will come with a warning not to heat to more than 140 F because it denatures the protein. Remember you can add the unflavoured stuff to your sugar-free puddings or mashed potato when it's at a cooler temperature. I've also heard of protein cheese powder intended for sauces, but I don't know for sure that you can cook that.

I did a lot of the Unjury chicken soup right after surgery. I also added unflavored protein powder to beef broth and miso soup. The thing with mixing protein powder and hot liquid is that you need to use a food thermometer and make sure the liquid is under 140 degrees, or even under 130 degrees to be really safe. If the liquid is too hot, then the protein gets clumpy and lumpy and disgusting. But with the food thermometer, it works great.
I used the high protein soups a lot too, the ones at the bottom of the page here:

my favorite flavors were cream of tomato, cream of broccoli, and cream of mushroom. I thought the ones with "pasta" in them were . . . not good. The nice thing about these soups is that you can use water hotter than 140 degrees to mix them, as long as it isn't actually boiling, and the protein in the soup will not clump/denature.

I was looking at the unjury chicken soup..wow it has a ton of sodium...3 servings of that and sodium will be pooling in my ankles...LOL I wonder about maybe cutting it with unflavored protein...or making my own stock and adding plain protein...anyone know if we can tolerate highly seasoned things after surgery..like if I added lemon pepper or something to chicken broth...is that still a clear or are spices a no no for a while? Also I crave vinegar all the time..will it bother my tummy after surgery?
