Is this normal....

I've been on the pre op diet for four days starting today. I have to weigh myself everyday to help monitor other medications I am talking. Which should hopefully stop after surgery. That being said, I've followed the calorie and protein intake carefully am getting more than enough water and I have lost 8 pounds since just starting this portion. I assumed I would lose some weight but is it normal to lose that much if not more? Thanks

I lost 15 pounds in the first week of my pre-op diet. Normal, I think.

That's what I was thinking. We just work so hard to get to the surgery I didn't want anything to jeopordize the surgery.

I am 7 days in pre-op diet now and as of 2 days ago I had also lost 8 pounds. I weigh at my work so i havent got to weigh this weekend. Let's just good it falls off like this after surgery!!! Mine is May 12th, u?

I'm 5 days in and have lost 5 lbs. Surgery on the 14th.

i followed my preop plan to the letter and lost a lot. The surgeon was very happy about it, said it shrinks the liver gives him more room to work
