    Default Well, Finally Sleeved!!!!

The first few days I just slept, not much else. I like everyone else struggling to get the fluids in. But, I can truely say it gets better with everyday that passes. I still have not gotten my schedule completely down yet but I am getting there. I want to excersize but I have not been cleared yet and I really think I am still just a little to tender to be jumping around like I want to. Grocery shopping and cleaning the house is all the excersize I am getting right now. It will be a week tomorrow. I am so happy to be past the initial few days where things just don't feel quite right. I am so glad for all those who posted for those of us who had not yet been sleeved. I just kept thinking about all the knowledge I gleened from this site. I just kept saying to myself it will be better tomorrow, and it was!! My journey is finally beginning. I can already see my clothes loosen and my face changing. I am getting in about 400-600 calories a day since Monday, before that it was much less. Obviously there was swelling preventing me from achieving optimal intake but that gets easier with every passing day. I did get sterile gauze and bandages to cover my incisions and antibacterial ointment to prevent infection and scarring. They are healing nicely. I still have a shake to go so I need to go get that in. It will take some time to get it all down. I almost do a happy dance when I can get is all in without having to pause for long periods of time. I am really liking the Unjury chocolate and chicken flavored protein. Broth and Crystalite and the sugar free popsicles tastey too. I stay full. Just a little hungrey now. I am looking forward to my shake now. So I will keep you up to date on my progress. Thanks you all for making the beginning of my journey bearable because I knew what to expect made it so much easier. What a blessing this site is. Sorry for any typos got to go!

It's the best decision I have ever made, despite it taking 4 years to make. I just wished I had done it earlier! Keep up the good work. Life can only get better from here. M x

Heeeeey! That is great! I was wondering how you were doing. That first couple of days was interesting. Just felt out of sorts, No pain really. Only a little nausea. It feels so funny feeling your insides. If you know what I mean. It just is not normal to feel every swallow. It gets better everyday though. I sit up and listen to my stomach gurgle and growl as I drink. Kinda funny. I am glad I took off 3 weeks so that I can get my schedule together. Gotta eat and prepare so got to get on top of it. I have a very physically demanding job. I got to be on point and I work alone most of the time, I have to be on point with my meals, I read about so many people fainting because the forget to eat. Ya gotta eat. : D Can't be somewhere passed out because I did not eat. We can't do that anymore. I like the way you have you weight progress typed out. I hope you don't mind if I copy.

Hey Neighbor! How are you? 1 week out I feel really good. I could probably do an 8 hour shift, but I am glad I prepared for the 3 weeks off though. I have to be constantly eat/drinking. Protien first I read somewhere. It is true. If you don't get it in first, you will fill up and you won't get it in. So remember protein first. I am getting 60-80 g of protein a day now. Where I am lacking is getting in enough H20. My Nut did say I can count in all the liquid, even the water I put in my shakes and soup. I am probably doing better than I think, but I am still trying to increase my H20. I need to create a habit because when I start back to work I need to do it automatically. Sometimes it can be hours passing and nothing has gone in my mouth. Can't do that anymore. I'll find myself passed out on the floor. NOT COOL. Thanks for checking on me. I will keep you in prayer. You keep me in prayer. That first couple of days I felt disconnected I am so glad people were praying for me. I really am.

    Blessings

You're right, we do need to look after ourselves now that we have lost most of our stomachs! Enjoy your new sleeved self! I just can't believe how great I feel already! I am liking my sleeve....no, I LOVE my sleeve! Thanks for liking my weight progress. Yes, by all means please copy this for yourself. I just like to keep track. I'm not a one for weighing myself all the time, so once a month will do. I have my dietician calling me next Wednesday so I have to give her my current weight, which means weighing myself that morning. But, after this I will only weight once per month! Hope you do well with your sleeve. Keep us posted with your progress. M x
