    Default Nausea

    Hi all
I had my surgery on November 8th and it is going pretty good except on Monday I started with some nausea in the morning. Not bad enough that I vomit but just bad enough to make me feel a little crappy. It seems to last until around 11am and then gets a little better. Has anyone else experienced nausea in their first couple of weeks after surgery. Any feedback would be wonderful.....
    Thanks
    Tam

Oh yes I had my surgery on Nov 9th and I get that way too but if I have a couple sips of my protein shake before I go to bed it eleviates it. I've done that the past two nites and I'm not all bleh in the morning. I'm hella sleepy cuz now I don't sleep longer then 3 hrs but I guess that will go away in time too.

Also my goal weight was 160 lbs but I'm now below goal and hopefully holding at 151 and not just in a stall

Hi, I am three months out I had a little of this early on I think it is from going too long without fluid or food remember early on your body is in starvation mode and you are only taking in 500-700 calories a day so there is a lot of adjusting your body needs to make so things can easily get out of whack. It does settle on.

I get almost a dumping syndrome some times. Not that often but I have had experiences where if I eat something that doesn't agree with me it comes up and I have nausea with it. Not too often.
I had a couple of experiences too were I was dizzy and another one where I had the shakes but that too passed. If I get like that I lie down & nap.
It hasn't happened that often but I attribute it to recent surgery. It happened during the first month when the body was adjusting. Sometimes at night I change position to my other side if I feel uncomfortable. Lorna
