    Question Stitches

Hello fellow Mexico sleevers! I think it's time for my stitches to come out. Did any of you take your own out? If so, how did you do it? I youtubed "how to", but I don't think I'll be able to do it myself & my husband is having no part of it. lol
    Thanks in advance~

I had my surgery in Mexico w/Dr. Almanza and he doesn't use the dissolvable stitches....that would've been nice. lol So I'm on my own. I guess I could go to the dr. and have them take em out. Just trying to avoid that if I can.

You can snip them with tiny scissors then use tweezers to pull them out, or go to the doctor. What can they say? What's done is done!

Hi Zetagirl, I took mine out today because they started to embedded in my skin. Like spelndaa said go to walgreens and look for a suture kit with a scissor and a tweezers and you can do it yourself in the mirror. It's better if you do it after you have taken a shower. The small ones look fine the two big ones are still oozing a little bit and the one where the drain was is not totally closed up yet it's almost there. I wished he had used dissolvable stiches. Good luck girl let me know how it turns out.

I agree with Linda. You can take them out yourself. Just google how to. Its like she said but make sure you wait long enough. I didn't have stitches, I think they super glue on me! but I've seen enough rednecks do it that I know how to!

Ohhhhh yeah i am glad i had disolvable stiches.. you can take them out yourself its not hard. just snip them and pull with tweezers. The person was right that said they will prob come out easier right after a shower. I had a few stick out of my incisions while they were healing. looked like fishing line. lol

I once got bitten by a dog - on the job - (I worked for the telephone company--I was a installer and lineman Ok--for you politically correct PERSON) I took my stitches out and am so looking forward to the ones from my sleeve. Taking them out myself will keep my medical license current that I got from watching HOUSE!!!!!
