NEVER SHAVE!! you will end up with an after 5 shadow!!! laser or wax which will at least weakens the hair growth....Laser
is the bomb with that sort of dark strong hair growth good luck!!
I finally broke down and bought a Tria 4x, 4 or 5 months back. It cost me around 450, which is a lot, but I think between not going to a salon to wax and not buying expensive refills of Vaniqa (a prescription cream to slow down facial hair growth) it hasn't cost me much more, if any.
Most of the dark hair I had on my jaw line, upper lip & chin are gone now. It works best for dark hair / light skin. It won't do anything for the pale facial hair I have, when that is all I have left I'll go back to waxing or tweezing. For now I just shave, yeah it's awful but once I got over the horror of doing this the first time it wasn't so bad. The facial hair is very fine gauge so it isn't like I'm going to have visible stubble or 5 o'clock shadow.
It is great because I can treat my armpits, got rid of the hair I had on my hands & toes - horrible stuff and now it is nearly gone. I hope it's permanent but if it comes back someday I will just do some more treatments. It sure seems to have made a difference for now.
I can do it at the max strength and it usually doesn't bother me that much. Key is if you press down hard, it hurts less.
The beard growing back on a man at the end of the day - if he shaved that morning & has a dark heavy beard?
If you do laser, you have to though. You can't pluck or wax during the laser treatments or you won't get effective results.
I suppose you could use nair but that stuff tears my skin up so bad.
Can't do birth control pills at my age, risk of getting a thromboembolism is too high.
