After your weight loss, did your shoe size go down?
1/2 size? A full size?
Curious
I think maybe I would go down a half size if I lose a lot.
When I've lost 60 pounds my shoe size remained the same.
I have not yet had my surgery, but I have lost 45# on my own. None of my old shoes fit. Not a bit. They are WAY too wide. I literally wear my tennis shoes to work everyday, because I can tighten them enough to get them to stay on. Luckily, my bosses are really nice about it, and it has been really cold so our dress code has been more lenient.
I lost 84 and haven't noticed a drop in size.
I have gone down 1/2 to a full size. For my non-heeled shoes, I purchased thicker socks to wear with them and it extends their life. I purchased new running shoes because my older ones were inhibiting my stride. It's funny because when you are overweight, shoes and purses are easy to buy because they always "fit". I have a lot of nice shoes and hate to have to give them away.
I have gone from a wide width to normal and lost 1/2 a size. 7 1/2 has some cute selections:-)

1 month: 25 lost (194-10 day stall)
3 months: 9 lost (173-halfway to goal!)
5 months: 7 lost (161-1week stall)
7 months: 4 lost (152-4 week stall)
9 months: 1 lost (145-1 month stall)
10 months: 0 lost (145-2month stall
14 months: 0 lost (145-7 month stall)
My goal: 145...originally 129 but my body said no!
I've gone down a size and a half, although I went from normal to wides. I figure that by the time I'm all done my shoe size will be about a six and a half regular. Much more selection! One of the things I'm waiting for is to get to my goal weight and then buying a GOOD pair of shoes. Like a $500 pair. But if you know me you probably know that shoes are my new addiction so they're pretty darn important to me.
I sure hope my feet shrink at least a half size. I wear a women's 10 1/2 wide which is basically non-existent! I have to either squish into a 10 wide or buy an 11 wide. My feet slip in 11's almost always.
The best result is for tennis shoes. I buy men's and a 9 1/2 fits perfect!
PLEASE - Let my feet shrink!!
Pre surgery a 9.5 C. Post surgery I'm back to what I was years ago. 9 AAA. I'm a shoe nut!!! Love shoes. They all still fit just a little loose.
The rest of you. Have you worn heels to show off your "thin" legs? I couldn't wait to do that. When I was so fat it embarrassed me because I felt like a bowling ball on skates with high heels. I would take my heels out and look at them and put them back. Just wore a lot of flats.
WELL "Katie bar the door" i'm wearing my Michael Kors heels now and loving them!!!! My god what a change. What a change in confidence.
IT'S BEEN ALMOST TEN YEARS NOW SINCE MY SURGERY. AND IM STILL GOING STRONG!!!!!!
