    Default Share your sizes!

Hey everyone! I was wondering if some of you would be willing to share your clothing sizes with me. I ask because I found a hoodie I have wanted for years on a ridiculous sale (over half off) and I decided to buy it. It's a women's size large. I just have this awful feeling after really looking at it that I'll never be small enough to wear it. I'm probably a 3x up top in womens right now (1x in mens) and I'm getting kind of sad, thinking I'll never be small enough for that.

Anyone want to share their size with me? I'd be okay if I ended up too small for it, but I'll be really sad if I never get into a Large, lol. The possibility is really settling in that I might not ever make it. I think I'm just having those nervous second thoughts as I'm coming up on the big day. Whew

Hey Missy - you are doing the right thing! We all have our doubts, and our brains can be our best or worst friends! I know what you mean. I was a size 18 usually and could wear 2x-3x depending on the cut. Now, some 14 stretchy things are getting really lose, and I did wear a size 12 tailored skirt that I haven't worn in years!! Also a satin top for New Year's (which has no stretch or elastic whatsoever) that still had the original store tags (was going to return it for being too small when I bought it this summer but then lost the receipt - boy, am I now glad I'm a shopaholic - all i have to do is go shopping in my closet! Today was the first time (I'm almost 40 pounds down in 2 months), when I realized that my regular "everyday" clothes are starting to look really big on me. NEW WARDROBE TIME!! It's hard cuz I don't know how far I'll go down. I'm also very short - just over 5' so I'm hoping I will be able to get down to like a 6 but honestly an 8 would be amazing!!

This is so funny because I bought two size large jackets right before surgery and thought they might never fit too! One of the jackets is a very fitted military style jacket and the other is a tight North Face jacket. I wore both of them last week and I am only half way on my weight loss. Last weekend I bought a pair of jeans at Chico's that are size 1, which converts to a size 8 or 10. I think you will be amazed at how quickly you are able to fit into your cute new hoodie!

I think its impossible to know what size you will end up. I was hoping to get into 36 waist jeans again and now 36 is too big. There is a good chance that hoodie will be too big when you are done losing. You never know.

At my highest weight I was in a 4-5x with a 52-54" waist.

Now my 34" jeans are getting a wee bit loose and I'm wearing small shirts. It's really hard to predict where you'll end up. I wasn't expecting to be eying 32" waist jeans and figured I'd be a medium shirt size.

you just started don't rush it you didn't gain all that weight over night so you r not going to loose it overnight either . I am positive you will make it maybe not this year but next and from what I gather it the style to wear your hoodies loose so if it fits next year you got it.

I started with size 30 pants and 4X tops. I am now at the lowest weight that I've been for 30 years and I'm wearing size 20 pants and XL tops.

Buy it! You will get there. Imagine your excitment the day that you put it on and it fits. Just don't forget that you bought it and put it on when it's too big.

Best of luck to you, you are going to do great.

    You've all done so great!!

I wish I could predict what size I'd be so I could prepare clothing wise, haha. I know I have no idea, though. This gives me some hope.. I mean just looking at a womens size large.. It's SO small compared to what I'm used to. It just looks intimidating. Maybe I'll hang it INSIDE the closet so it doesn't scare me.. Or maybe I'll leave it out so I have something that motivates me. It's a really awesome jacket. If anyone is curious.. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger Girls Zip Hoodie | Hot Topic

I paid $25 for it in-store. I've had my eye on this for about 2 years now? When I saw it, I wanted to buy it. When I saw it for $25, I had to buy it, lol.

I was a size 20 tight in pants now size 16. Was wearing 2x now I wear a xl. I would buy anything in large. I have a hard time imagining I will get to a medium someday. You will be surprised how fast the body changes.

So glad you bought it, it is really cute, and you got a great deal (looks like at least 50% off).
I have a whole closet of too big clothes that I've moved to the downstairs closet. Over the years I had lots of clothes that I was going to get into when I lost another 10/20/etc. pounds so I already had a bunch of stuff I could wear on the way down the scale. But, it's almost time to buy some new clothes. I've been shopping sales and picking up a few things for the future as I go. The funny thing is that I just bought a 1X top and it is way too big (ordered on line). I need to know where to shop. I've always gone to Plus Size shops and on line stores. Not sure what stores to go to.
Hang that hoodie on the outside of the closet and get excited about wearing it, you will get there.
