    Default Quita weight loss journey

Anxious, excited and nervous about getting sleeved my first appointment for my Consultation is Tuesday. What's the process? What should I expect? What's the next step? How long does it take?

Happy New Year, Happy New You Laqita,

If you're not squeamish, you can go here to see what's going to happen during your surgery:

    Sleeve Gastrectomy | BroadcastMed Search

You'll be in some discomfort for a few days/week or so. Pain is a personal thing. Some have it, most don't, just depends on you.

Just remember to take it slow and easy. Sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk as soon as you can. It will help with the gas in your system from the surgery. Keep GasX strips/tablets and Gaviscon on hand for the gas.

Can't tell you how long it will take, usually you can expect 6 months if you're insurance is paying for it, maybe longer. I self paid, so from my first consult to my surgery was about 3 weeks.

Congratulations on taking the first steps. Just hang in there! You can do this!
