I can NOT eat Chicken!!

Anyone else having this problem. It is the strangest thing. I can eat beef no problem, but the minute I eat chicken I get the foamies and have to throw up. Everywehe I read that chicken would be the first meat step and red meat 6 months to a year down the road. Has anyone had any similar experience? Just curious, never was a big chicken fan anyway unless they were hot wings. LOL

I felt that way with chicken breast but my dietician said to try chicken thighs because they are a bit juicier and got the good fats in it and that worked a treat. I had a curry with rice and no pain. Good luck

I have that problem with fish. Chicken is easy, as long as it is moist. If not gotta put something on it to moistened it up.

I have that reaction to chickn too but i also had that reaction befor surgery... An i have it to beef now but not befor, it actually feels like a allergic reaction with all the saliva that foams into the stomach... Ground beef no problem tho. Ask dr mayb he would know its a weird reaction none the less.

I know how you feel. Can't seem to eat any protein except dairy! Chicken, fish and meat feels awful even in my mouth. My taste buds are saying NO and I'm listening. I'm getting my protein in with protein shakes totally 65 grams a day and I'm taking my vitamins every day so I think I'm ok.

Yes! I chicken has made me vomit on three different occasions, I now just do not eat it. I am not sure what it is...

Yes I dont even try anymore. I get my protien with shakes, cheese, sliced meats (ham turkey roast beef) or steak. Chicken is OUT. I just think it is wierd as we are told that chicken is the most tolerable to start with. Not me or my friend, white dark dry or moist does not matter..

I waws told when I eat chicken that I need to eat it with broth or a gravy. or Canned chicken just because it is dry and hard to eat... try that!

Can I ask a weird question? In the past years Ive done reading on blood type diets and since then Ive been doing my own research about the effects of food on certain blood types. recently a nurse told me that she lives by this idea and her blood type is B pos. She said she cant eat chicken it makes her sick. Ive never heard that before and I was wondering if maybe the surgery might intensify this affect. Are any of you that have trouble with chicken a B blood type?

I can not eat dark meat. nor can I eat beef. or salad it has almost been a year for me. But I am ok with it..sometimes miss roast beef though.

I can only eat it if is very moist, but even sometimes I still get nauseus. I can tell immediately from the first mouthful if I will tolerate it. It's weird how we have all had the same procedure but how we tolerate foods so differently. It definitley is an individual thing thats for sure!
