    Default Fear of dehydration

    Hi all,
Today I managed to get in 30 ounces of liquid. I tried several different things. I can't stand the isopure so that is not going down well. I like the Boost very vanilla; however, it has 22 grams of sugar and only 14 grams of protein. I drank half of that and the diarrhea began. Then I tried a package of unflavored unjury in some flavored water and that was disgusting. I finally just opened a bottle of vitamin water zero and that has been good. The problem now is the diarrhea is more severe and I am "letting go" of all that I take in. I stood up tonight and felt lightheaded. I DO NOT want to have to get IV fluids at all. Any advice on what I can do to not become dehydrated????

I've been drinking water with crystal light packet in it or vitarain+ from Costco. As mentioned in response to your comment on my thread, I'm on Premier Protein. I am sipping water or shakes ALL day long in order to get it in. I have felt dehydrated and weak, but I found the past two days since I've got in all my ounces and shakes I've just felt a ton better energy wise! It'll come! Keep it up!

Warm herbal tea goes down easier for me than water.

Try to drink some powerade zero or Gatorade g2 low calorie... Get the 32 oz and sip sip sip. Sounds like your potassium is way off balance and either of those will replenish any electrolytes and has potassium ! It counts towards your liquid intake

I struggled severely with dehydration. Powerade zero is great instead of water. Carry around a bottle and sip constantly. Give yourself a goal each hour, like 10 ounces an hour. I bought a Nalgene water bottle and it shows the measurements on the side. Good luck!

Thanks! My husband went out and got me some G2 and Powerade. That is going down well. He also made me some lime jello that for some reason sounds good to me. I did a chicken unjury soup and it took me over two hours to get that down. Broths are not working for me. I'd rather have cold stuff or room temp. It's funny how we are all different with what like and don't like. I do feel better though since I started on the Powerade.
