I had my surgery on Wednesday. I thought I would be feeling better by now. I am still really nauseated. Allni can take in is water so I dont get dehydration. When will this get better??
Yes it will. The 1st 10 days or so you will feel like you have been hit by a mac truck. Everything is swollen and healing. Rest as much as possible and sip away. For me I didn't feel human for 2.5 weeks, it will be worth it I promise. Expect to be really tired......Prayers for your healing!
I had my surgery on Monday 9-16-13. I had nausea/vomiting so much I had to stay in hospital until Thursday. Was supposed to go home Tuesday. The thing that finally helped me was a patch they placed behind my ear to help with nausea. I also take an oral med for nausea as well. I feel a lot better now. It will get better. Just ask your MD for the patch, if you don't already have it.
You're having the breakdown that my surgeon warned me about. He says everyone has their breaking point and scream inside their head what have I done to myself. Don't worry, it will get better. The first couple weeks are hell! Then you adjust and start figuring it out and it'll get easier with every day.
Hello! I had my surgery on Monday, so I am 2 days ahead of you. I am sending you peaceful thoughts, and wanted you to know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! This is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with for so many reasons. It's not just the food. It's not just the people you may HAVE to tell (because otherwise they wonder wtf is wrong with you) and it's not just that those people then may or may not be supportive/compassionate. It is all of that, plus birthday cake and pizza and ice cream in your fridge because the rest of your family has to eat stuff. Let's promise to try and remember WHY we did this. I know this is temporary, and that all of the reasons WHY I DID IT are more important, ultimately, than 2 or 3 or more weeks of life kind of sucking. Am I right? I said, am I RIGHT? (yeah, I know, sort of right...still sucks...let's just deal)
