    Default How are your meals spaced out during the day? I think I have too many gaps in my day...

    I eat breakfast at 7am
    Lunch at 12 noon
    Dinner at 6pm


    Im usually low on my protein amount so I drink a Premier protein shake and get a quick 30 grams protein--in the evening around 9p
    My day is super busy and I'm on my feel alot...I dont really have time to snack on something...
    I'm not sure if these long gaps of time..may be causing me to stall right now...

    I would love some tips and advice !

    You should put a cheese stick and maybe a few pieces of turkey pepperoni as snack during the day. This keeps your metabolism working! I to will drink a Premier shake at night if I didn't hit my protein marker.

    I am PRO eating every 2-3 hours to keep my metabolism going. Nuts, cheese, jerky are great easy snacks that have good protein in them. I think constantly giving your body fuel will keep that metabolism revving up.

    I really think this is why I stall so much...too many gaps....I need to find the snacks you guys mentioned!

    Here's what helps me, I usually get those snack size baggies and put stuff in those so it's super accessible. If you buy almonds, separate them into easy snack sizes. As well as with bagged jerky!

    My NUT said that I was eating too much at a time when I was just eating breakfast, lunch, & dinner. I went back to eating six small " meals" a day and sure enough, I'm out of my stall. The total calories are the same, but smaller amounts is working for me. Hope to be in " onederland" soon.

    I agree with everyone above and they are all good snacks The problem I have is that I get busy and forget to eat. This is a new experience for me, not being hungry. I have to work real hard and my husband reminds me to get a snack.

    I am 2 years post surgery - i see a dietician every 2-3 weeks. I have been following a program with her for 1.5 years. i actually went to a clinic for over a year that uses this program for sleeve/band people. PS i dont know my weight. if you can believe that. it creates too much obsession when its really about how you feel. She has me eat 6 meals a day. 3 a bit bigger and 3 protein oriented. Example of my day if anyone cares

    breakfast around 830
    1 protein /1 fat/1 dairy/half grain (1/4 cup or half toast)/half fruit - this sounds big but can be very small in mass - remember i am sev years out

    snack = protein and half fruit
    lunch = protein/veggie/half grain / 1 fat
    snack = protein and 1 fruit
    dinner protein/veggie/half grain / 1 fat
    snack - protein 1.5

    hi imtad - great going on your loss!!!!

    ok so a protein is like 3 slices turkey (thinner ones or 1 thicker one)- 1 egg- or 1 oz cheese (cheese stick - sq 2in by 1 inc)- meat is always about 3oz. like half smaller chicken breast. about a quarter restaurants burger. this is funny at times to eat a quarter burger. everything is normally about a quarter size of a full portion.

    so 1 fat is like a teaspoon butter/olive oil etc. or 1 bacon or a tablespoon avocado. or tablespoon or so of nuts. or table of peanut butter. or any type of sauces creamy type count in this category.

    fruit - a serving is any full fruit. plum/apple/peach/nectarine any fruit. other than banana which 1 portion is half banana. berries is like half cup (its more for some reason) many of my portions so half of fruit so just adjust.

    veggie - 1 is like a cup losely packed lettuce or lose packed raw. cooked one serving is 1/2 cup.

    dairy - is half cup milk/cheese portion/yogurt 3 oz smaller portion
    grain - is half 1 piece bread /toast/quarter cup potato/rice/ pasta /
