Okay, so I'm not pregnant haha but I'm thinking about trying. I'm 2 years out this month I'm pretty much right smack dab in the middle of my healthy BMI, have been for a year. I've read post on pregnancy after the sleeve. Everyone seems to have a normal experience. But I want to hear from those of you who have had babies after the sleeve vs before the sleeve. How far post-op you were on getting pregnant. And if the experience was easier than before now that you are thinner. I gained 50lbs with my first and that scares me because I'm finally thin and if I gain 50lbs I will be so flippin depressed. But they say there's a lot of factors when you're heavier, so now that I'm thin maybe I won't gain as much, not to mention they say most gain the most weight with their first pregnancy. If I gained 20lbs which is the doctors recommendation for most pregnancies, I'd be okay. That'd put me at 150. I could lose most of that post-preggo. I need feedback. I'm so ready, but the weight gain does scare me.

I'm only 7 weeks post-op and one of the reasons I had this surgery is because I want to be able to get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy. I know my doctor recommends 1 year post-op for surgery. You are well over one year and have been able to maintain your weight loss! Those are great factors when planning your pregnancy. I plan to start trying in January. That will be 6 months post-op for me. I should be at my goal weight by then. It will be sooner than my doctor recommends but I'll be 39 years old in March and I feel that there is no time to waste! I'm sure everything will be ok for you... best of luck and keep us posted!

PS, you look fantastic, and as long as you were mindful during your pregnancy you will be fine.

Do not go with the thinking that you need to eat for 2. You need to increase your caloric intake by 300-500 cal per day for a healthy pregnancy.

I'm not responding to getting pg but i do have a ? For you. Since u had this done so long ago, what was your longest stall. I have had one for like 4 months, surley i'm done am i.. Or has my body just got use to little food.

I stopped losing at about 4 months postop; I was considered a lightweight anyway, so that put me at about 150. I lost another 10 at about 9 months out. Then at 11 months post op I dropped another 10lbs out of the blue. I was eating like I always do; no changes. And then at 15 months my body started to want to lose again (you can tell when your body starts dropping weight easier than normal that you're about to kickstart again). But it was at Christmas time and I didn't take advantage of it so I stayed at that weight which is where I am now. That was the last kickstart moment, 15 months. I now fluctuate between 128 and 132. Which is right in the middle of my BMI so I have no complaints but I really would like to see the number 115 on my scale

My friend got pregnant when she about 18 months post-op. She's 7 months now and looks great. she has the tiniest little belly. Best of luck to whatever you decide. Im glad I have 3 children, I'm done having babies. LOL

Wow , you had the sleeve done in November 2012 and haven't lost for 4 months? Yikes! I've had stalls but never longer then 2 weeks. Are you working out? How many calories are you consuming a day?

no I don't workout and I am hooked on those onion ring chips. by looking at your weight loss I guess I better do something, u r doing great. it's just so hot here in okla to walk, but I do have a treadmill it's just boring but guess I shouldn't be so lazy and get started. I do stay busy all day cleaning and messing around but guess that's not enough. my husband is retired and always around so am embarrassed to really workout thinking he'd laugh but guess better he laugh then me be lazy. maybe I can get in my head he can laugh at how skinny i'm getting. my clothes r going down I have gone from a 18 to a 10.

Hey Karensuue, I had surgery September 5 2012. I lost about 80lbs and have been stalled for close to 6 months. I am still about 70lbs from my goal, I like you, dont actually follow the plan or exercise much. and I think i am pregnant, will find out tomorrow.
