I am just beginning this journey by going to a seminar in two weeks. I am a teacher and worried about how much work I will have to take off. I don't want to put this in hold until next summer!! Can you tell me your experience?? Thanks a zillion!!

I'm having my surgery on Wednesday this week and will be back to work on Tuesday. My dr. said 1 week and I am getting hiatal hernia fixed as well but I do have a day job at a desk.

My doctor told me a minimum of two weeks. It depends on how well you recover AND adjust. I know several people who took a month to get back into the swing of things.

I had the surgery July 28th and went back to work after 2 1/2 weeks but felt like I could have gone back at 2 weeks. But I will tell you that I felt the need for a nap after work

I work at a high school and had it done the day after school let out so I am good to go. My girlfriend who works with me had hers done in mid July is doing okay but she is pretty exhausted at the end of the day. She teaches the ESE kids and they keep her moving. If you can get at least 2 weeks take it!

I am a General Manager & work 50 hours a week on my feet, I went back to work after 4 days. depends on you and how u feel.

I work the front end at a florist. On my feet all day! I took off 2 weeks but could have went back the middle of the second week just fine.

I took off 9 days from work and everything went really well! I'm a server at a really busy restaurant in town, so I was a little worried about feeling weak or light headed. I've been working ever since and haven't had one problem yet

Hi I'm a teacher too. Welcome! I was able to have this done the day after memorial day and recover and establish habits all summer. I think I could have gone back after 1 week, but my surgeon recommends 2 weeks for all his patients. Every one heals at a different rate and you never know how it will go for you.
