Books?

Did anyone read any books about VSG prior to having their sugery? I am wondering if it would be beneficial or a waste of money....

If so (and it was helpful), which book(s)?

I feel like I've quadrupled the info I knew just by hanging out here for the past 2 weeks, but I want to make sure I'm as informed as possible.

Also, has anyone purchased any cook books?

I got mine at the library just copied the pages that had intresting info.I feel like i get more info on here then books.

Oh and i compared all the infos that i got here and the books and its the same exact stuff so i wont be purchasing the books.The internet is a great tool.

I read almost every book I could find on Amazon but the one that was worth it the most was The BIG Book on the Gastric Sleeve, Everything you need to know to lose weight and live well with the vertical sleeve written by Alex Brecher and Natalie Stein. The book is invalubable asnd I recommend anyone who is thinking about getting the sleeve, has committed to getting the sleeve or has already been sleeved to get this book.

The books i got : Weightloss surgery for dummies and Fitness for dummies...they may be for dummies but very informative.

The BIG book is great, very easy to understand and it is really BIG. The author has had the surgery too and runs another BB just like this one.

I got "the Sleeved Life" and loved it. It answered lots of questions for me and it's by a lady that had the sleeve herself. It's not very large and an easy read.
