Day1 Pre-op Diarrhea???

Started the pre-op diet today. I have not found a shake that I can tolerate yet. I did find some fruit drinks that are high in protein. So far today I had 2-3 oz skim milk mixed with Core Power ( was testing it out, hate it), Dannon light and fit yogurt, unsweetened iced tea with about 4 ounces of the high protein juice. Now I'm getting diarrhea. What is going on? Could it be all the Whey Protein? The nurse suggested lactaid caps. Anyone had this happen? I will be so screwed if I can't drink stuff with whey protein. Help!

I'm anxious to hear everyone's response. I have trouble with shakes, but I do love unsweetened tea. I hope it gets easier for you and much success with your upcoming surgery!

Yep, when I started adding the whey protein shakes to my diet (way out from even pre-op at this point) I did notice a change in the bathroom. Just stick with it; it will get better.

I'm using Syntrax Nectars and they are yummy. Haven't found a flavor yet that I didn't like.

Try isopure. It had weird aftertaste but its not bad. 40 g protein you can't beat.

Maybe you are lactose intolerant? I also agree with the Syntrax Nectar, it is so good! I am drinking it right now, blended the strawberry kiwi with water, ice, and half a banana.

It kinda sounds like it was caused from Change of Diet, or lactose intolerance. If you went straight to protein without supplementing meals first, maybe your body is just reacting to the change.
