I have quit smoking!!! :)

Today I succesfully went without smoking! It was hard but I did it. Tomorrow may be difficult too, but I am going to remind myself that I need to take it one day at a time. It will get better and I will feel better! Not to mention the money saved Need some extra encouragment, my husband and mother both smoke.That was the hardest part today.

Kori - Congratulations for getting through your 1st smoke - free day!!! I quit 6 weeks ago tomorrow and I will say that what got me to this point was the e-cig. I get cartridges with no nicotine, and inhale and exhale mist. My husband thought he might want to stay at a hotel the first couple weeks - he was very surprised. He was sure that he would die at some point. Anyway, I am about ready to put away the e-cig at this point. My surgery is next Tuesday.

I remember when I quit 10 years ago, I was like a mad woman. It gets better with each passing day and now I hate the smell of smoke! You'll get there and live longer because of it. Good luck to you.

I quit 5.5 years ago and you are completely right. It's a minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day challenge.
I didn't avoid other smokers because I know I'd be around them the rest of my life.

You can do this! Find a reward for yourself at the end of the 1st week.
