Aside from protein shakes, tomato soup, and scrambled eggs and pureed chicken salad...I really haven't tried too many different things out with my nearly month old sleeve. Well tonight I made red kidney beans with rotel and hot sauce. Did beans always taste this good? Why have I been ignoring them this long? 220 cals in 1 cup...14 grams of protein!!! My minimum is 60 to 80 grams a day. This is the first time I've gotten my protein intake in the 70s since surgery!!!!!

Lol beans are a persona favorite. I was worried that after surgery I wouldn't be able to eat them so I made a list of the kinds I like & how I like to eat them I and gave it to my NUT to make sure I'd still be able to eat them. Enjoy the delicious veggie protein.

I love beans with a sprinkle of cheese and some enchilada sauce on top...i really enjoy beans! Pre surgery they would irritate my tummy...now my tummy and taste buds are in heaven!

yummmm beans! I am trying some refried beans with cheese tonight, I am still on soft foods and its sounds sooo tasty! I have always loved beans, especially moroccan style white kidney beans (beans, garlic, cumin, paprika, ginger, blk pepper, cilantro and tomato paste)

I just put some smoked turkey in the pot, seasoning and lentils. Nothing special since all the food taste different to me now. The pot lasted a week for lunches.
