Default Hard time getting my protein

So today I had a Dr's appointment. I got reprimanded for not eating enough protein or getting enough calories in. But it's summer and it's hot and humid up here in B-lo. I don't feel like eating at all. In the morning make myself a one egg frittata with either ham or breakfast sausage, mushrooms, onion, and some cheese. My mid morning snack consists of a half a can of tunafish mixed with fat free mayo and onion and 5 whole wheat crackers. Lunch is a Weight Watchers Smart One. I like those because they have the highest protein content and are low in calories. Afternoon snack is some nuts. Then comes dinner........I come home....take a look around.....open the fridge, close the fridge, open the fridge, close the fridge. I am single so making dinner for one isn't any fun. It's so hard motivate myself to make myself dinner. I don't want to drink a protein shake...I choke them down most of the time.

Is there anyone else out there who is having a hard time with dinnertime and finding something to eat?

For me, it's lunchtime. I always seem to struggle to find something appetizing at lunch. I have no advice, though.

I admit, I'm not eating healthy and getting enough proteins. Maybe thats why I'm at a stall. I do work out though. Eating is not fun. I'm single also. Maybe we should see a nutritionist, lol.

well here is my little thing see if it could apply to you. First Get away from all or most prepackaged food they have way to many preservatives, and try getting a good quality deli meat and roll it with a good cheese not the processed one, yuck. anyways roll them up ahead of time and when you feel you must snack eat that, its a great protein kick and fills you up. I eat every 3 hours have a meal for early dinner then my kickers the rest of the day, I did get bored with protein also so I got syntrax nectar fuzzy navel and its so versital, I mix it with fuse slenderize and omg yummo. 2 scoops of powder and that is 46 grams of protein. bam bam I love it, I get atleast 70 grams of protein a day...Many blessing dear. I eat canned chicken in broth or water and tuna in the pouch with a few tablespoons of chipotle sauce and gortons baked fish for microwave yummo there are so many options just reach out and ask. But the prepackaged foods are killing america and I am a definate opponet of them..

I have been buying liquid protein shots from walmart, they come in a tall tube they are about 2.5 oz and they have 42 grams of protein so I throw that into my crystal light and sip. They are in the pharmacy section in my walmart at the end of the vitamin isle. of course I am only 3 weeks post op so I can't get a lot of protein from food yet, so these are my life savers, I hate protein shakes (I choke one down here and there) good luck!

I'm getting ready to graduate to real food so I read these with great interest.

I got some veggie burgers at Sam's this week....19g of protein and can be warmed up in the microwave. I put some cheese on top. It was plenty and didn't taste too bad!

I'll be making a more indepth shopping list this weekend.

I was also going to suggest deli meat and cheese. It is one of my staples. Yum!!! And good protein.

Beware of protein shots as suggested above because many of those do not offer protein in a way that our tummies can absorb. Greek yogurt is also good. I mix mine with Carnation Instant Breakfast (No sugar added - Blue box) for an extra protein kick.
