My surgeon told me the first 6 months would be the fastest but said I would probably lose 100 pounds in a year but could expect to keep losing for up to 18 months....then be on a maintenance.

The weight just falls off the first six months no matter what you do, it seems. After that, you have to really practice what you've learned and eat wisely and exercise to continue the weight loss. I find that I have to continuously shake things up at now by eating different calorie amounts from day to day and changing exercise routines. I've done the 5-day pouch test once and plan on doing it again soon as that seems to jump start things at this point. It also helps break that carb habit that sneaks back in as time goes by.
