If you are reverting to these behaviors already, you pretty much wasted time and money having surgery. You may need more support outside of here, or maybe just having everyone here say knock it off is enough. I will point out that soda, while possibly triggering other cravings, washing out food that is in your stomach, (u prob arent waiting thirty mins before and after meals) and possibly stretching stomach... soda has phosphoric acid and is a major contributor to osteoporosis. And the caffeine also has been known to interfere w calcium absorption.... double whamey! Soda is crap. There are numerous other chemicals added as well. Better Than Cleaning engines than most engine cleaners. You probably wanted To have surgery to start living better and take better Care of yourself, as already stated get back To Basics now! You can do It!

Aside from the soda, have you noticed any changes in your body during the 'stall' this is often the time when averything starts to shift and move. I have had 3 week stalls and lost sizes and then boom weight loss kicks in again. I do use the odd diet pepsi (rum and lime) let it sit in my mouth for a bit to let the carbination break down and have had no problem. If pop is one of your trigger foods beware, if you just enjoy once in a while why not. You know what your body can tolerate and what sets you off. This all part of the learning curve. Good luck.

Thanks everyone. I know my doctor and dietician said no soda. I don't know when or why I started it back. I need to just say NO.

Mr Bill is right....I lessen the density of my water with a healthy splash of g2 if you are drinking you can't eat...it helps me to not graze

You already know what you're doing wrong. The ONLY person that can change these self-sabotaging behaviors is YOU.

If you want to be successful then STOP trying to hinder yourself. Unless of course you want to be overweight and unhappy again. In that case you might as well throw in some cake and cookies..and least then the soda will "maybe" serve a purpose.

DO what you need to do...DON'T just talk about it!

    Best wishes!

ok....i believe in everything in moderation...but that does NOT include soda "on a daily basis"

You have lost a good amount in your first three months, and should be proud. yes, some of us, me included can get in more calories than we should...but you have to use SOME self control! you can't eat candy and cookies and coke every day and lose weight. i swear to you, if you give them up for a week, completely...no processed sugar, only sugar from fruits....you won't crave them the same anymore.

make your meals an experience, make flavorful and healthy dishes that make the majority of the meal protein. do not snack between meals. if you do those things...i promise the weight will drop again.

i am a sloooooow loser, but i know it will drop eventually, I'm not sabotaging myself, and am working out daily.

rarely if ever am i judgmental to others on here....but saying, "i drink soda daily" is not a good sign, and i'd venture a guess, that for you....it's just the tip of the iceberg. take control now.

I have to agree with Risty...............you know what the issue is so do something about it. You've worked hard to get where you are and to let your old habits creep back in is no one's fault but yours. You know what you have to do, so do it and move forward! Come back and tell us the good news.....that you've kicked your habit and your're back on track! Good luck and may God grant you the strength to just say no to old habits!!
    Warm regards,
