    Default Tmi...... Monkey butt

well, this might be too much information for some, but here goes. ever hear of "money butt"? i'm 3 weeks post op and have had money butt (i.e., diarrhea) for 5 days. i have to laugh and give everyone else who can take a joke a laugh. it's part of the plan, either tummy aches, vomiting, diarrhea, acid reflux or whatever, but well worth the weight losss.

hope everyone is having a lovely day and peace be w/all of us on our journey! (~;~)

This reminded me of something I saw in the store recently near Boudreaux's Butt Paste

Yeppers - had the same thing...then I started adding soft foods, and voila...constipated. I think I'll take the diarrhea anyday.

Ouch! Have they said that there is a connection between the GS procedure and the kidney stones? Hang in there!

actually none whasoever and those were all specialists. however, i seem to believe something different. either new medications, vitamins, nutrients, etc. there is something i'm doing totally different, my body is going through detox and getting major doses of other things. i am also an interstital cystitis patient of 28 years and have had no symptoms in over 1-1/2 which is a great record for me. but in this case, it's not my bladder, it's my kidneys now. doc's say these kidney stones could be totally dormant in my system and just happen to try and pass now. there is a great genetic history in my family, so there is a correlation of this issue.

going to google and read more of kidney stones and related web sites.

ur going to do beautiful for your surgery.

    peace....

Kidney stones are a side effect of the surgery. It's because of all the calcium we are taking in. Since my surgery on 2 March, I have passed 5 kidney stones (I was already prone to them prior to the surgery because of a genetic kidney disorder) ... but thankfully they PASSED ... I have had lithotripsy (stone blasting) 3 times in my life and I will N E V E R do that again ...

    Best of luck to you!

Until they get the stones out and analyze them it would be impossible to determine what most likely caused them. The composition of the stone is typically the key needed to understand how to prevent them.

Here is a thorough article from The New York Times about kidney stones and what causes them.

Kidney Stones Causes - Kidney Stones Health Information - NY Times Health

Linking it to this thread topic: One of the causes of uric acid stones is chronic diarrhea or "Monkey Butt".

(Hope that made you smile.) =)

flower girl, thanks so much for your insightful post and the link and thanks to missdiedre too. i just began taking liquid calcium and magnesium so i do not think my body would react that fast to the calcium.

my urologist is one of the best in the south and has treated me for interstitial cystitis for almost 20 years. patients/clients travel from coast to coast to see dr. mcsherry. she specializes in this field. she advised me the "lithotripsy (stone blasting)" was not for me. where the kidney stones are located is a bad spot. there are very small bones near the stones and could turn into a complicated situation.

if she cannot grab the stones w/her tools and they go back into the kidney she will place a stint in w/a pump like function to flush it out.

after she removes the stones we will be able to determine what kind it is. seems there are 4 different time. i thought only 2, but it's four.

thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers and best wishes to all of you via my way.

    dena
    xoxo
