Default Eating out makes me happy!

Im 11 days out and I sooo love to eat out with friends, its just who I am! So I thought I would live this deprived life with the sleeve where no eating out BUT last night I managed to share salmon and mashed potatoes with a friend, and it was great! I talked more and was full for the fraction of the price! Im so proud...my friends lol at me because I ate a quarter of a saucer!]

I'm the same - I like going out and only eating a little. I savour my food, enjoy the company, and never go home feeling guilty any more like I used to. I'm a cheap and happy date

The few times I have been out, I just take a few bites from everyone else's plate and then I pay the tip for all. They don't mind because they are amazed at how little I eat. I am certainly saving money!

Glad you brought this up, it is a big part of my social life, and it is still very possible post-sleeve, just different! I was very worried this would be drastically different, but I quickly learned how to cope, modifying what I ordered and planning to get 1/2 or more to go.

I'm 5 weeks out....and just spent the past few days in NYC. I shared meals with the hubby....our food bill was 1/2 it normally was, but I still enjoyed every second of eating at nice restaurants!

My husband and I love eating out. It wasn't the food I missed as much as the ritual. We went out this weekend and we shared a couple of the 'small plates'. It was great, even though I just had a couple of bites off each plate. I just enjoyed being out!

Yay for all of you! Hubby had R-N-Y 4 years ago, so we've been sharing meals for quite awhile. Before, he would take what he wanted and I would eat the rest. Now, I take what I want and he eats what he can and the rest comes home for later. We usually try for an appetizer plate of some kind or a child's plate. Amazing how much our food budget has shrunk!

i'm the same...i LOVE eating out, and have always done it. Now I get to order a meal that sometimes takes me a couple days to finish lol. We usually go to healthy and tasty restaurants now...and much much less often fast food. Those that think socializing and eating out are impossible after surgery are SO wrong...the first week maybe, but it gets more fun as the weeks go by, and you can try new foods and new flavors

I still love restaurants! Maybe I love them more!
It's GREAT that I get at least 3 meals from every trip to the restaurant. It is so much cheaper than feeding the old me!
