Hello everyone let me start off by saying i am very glad i stumbled upon this forum. the vibe here feels great! very encouraging for everybody My name is Cassandra. I have struggled with my weight ever since I was little. My family has always teased me then kids at school teased me. im sure im not the only person whos gone through these things. My wonderful fiance and i have 3 kids. They are my world and i wanna be around for a very long time to watch them have fun and grow! So with that being said Ive decided to make a complete life change and my tool of choice you ask...... of course THE GASTRIC SLEEVE! i know its not gonna be easy but i am a fighter and i will be successful just like all of u! From what ive seen here you all are doing great and have had a lot of great progress with a lot of hard work! i do love any type of encouraging advice you all can give me to help me along my weigh loss journey.

so far i have my surgeon. his name is Dr. Helmuth Billy. he is located in ventura, california. His team has been wonderful to me. Right now I am doing my "work up" all the appointments i have before actually going into surgery to make sure there are no surprises. i have to do a 1st consult, stress test, bone density scan, blood work, upper gi scan, meet with the dietitian, meet with the psychiatrist, sleep study, 2 info classes, a 2nd consult with Dr. Billy himself.

I have done 6 out of those 11 things. my month of june is going to be quite crazy because by june 27th i will have done all 11 things slowly but surely getting there. When i started this process i was still living in california. My moms side of the family is all over there still. I moved to nevada a couple months ago but have decided to not change my doctor or anything. i feel very comfortable with dr billy plus i get to visit family often Anyway i am going to explore some other posts now and i look forward to connecting with all of you

Welcome to the family. I love this website, I have gotten so much encouragement, support and information!! I have been snooping around on here since January so if I can answer any questions let me know. Or just throw them out there, everyone is so knowledgeable and so helpful. My surgery isn't until July 22nd, and the time seems to be just dragging. I hope it moves faster for you with all you have to keep you busy!!

Thanks so much im excited to be here. So far its been going by pretty fast for me. My dr has been really good about booking a couple appointments on the same day so I can get it all done. Plus the traveling back and forth from cali to nevada so im glad they could do that for me im still getting the hang of how to reply to people and write new posts so bare with me lol

I live in Nevada also and getting ready for surgery soon, I will have my date this week. Good luck in your journey, you will do great!
