In a wreck like that you should have insurance your self, call your company and they will fight to get you what you need. A car and health care. That is what they are there for. They will contact the company of that guy. ( ex-insurance agent) Good Luck!

2. Go get yourselves checked out. Once the adrenaline and excitement fades a day or so later is when we start to notice inconsistencies in our bodies.
3. If he had a brand new Land Rover, he most likely has full coverage insurance that should pay you for a rental car and for your totaled car.
4. Ask your friends and family for rides until this is worked out. It's the one and only way they can help and most want to!
5. Don't do anything with your savings until you've talked with insurance and the police. Write down your questions and ask away.

Here in the US we can elect not to go by EMS to be checked out. Not sure if it's different in England. It's sad because that's one of the first things people hesitate to take advantage of here in the US. We think about the expense and have a wait and see mentality.

I would have gone if i felt worse. But i started to feel better. My daughter was the one who called because i told her too. I couldnt control my body. So much was going on and so much was happing during that time i felt like i should stay with my daughter. Im not sure if they would have taken her with me or not but i would not leave her there for anything. That guy was crazy and if he was to come back at that time i needed to protect her so i stayed. The EMT said i was good and told me to just get checked out later. He didnt see much wrong with me after the cops came my body calmed down and he said that i was looking good and my vitals where almost normal range.

As of yet i havent hurd anything from his insurance and you bet i called my insruance when i got home and gave them all the info the cops gave me. I dont know if he even had insurance but i know you cant pull off a car lot without it so hopfully he does.

Sorry everyone for not updating but I hurt my hand and wrist pretty back and it hurts when I type. We went to urgent care I have a strained neck lower back and wrist. My Daughter has whiplash.


My daughter and I had to go down to the LAPD and look at photos to point him out. I guess he was trying to say it wasn't him but we knew who it was right away and since we where hurt and he still ran I believe he is going to Jail. I think he was booked on Monday.

We are just taking it one day at a time. still very sore. When I drive now I feel a little scared. This morning (I'm driving a friends car) the tires made a nose when I turned and my daughter kinda freaked out. I told her its ok its just the tires. So still a little jumpie.

I've just now read this and Oh my you poor thing!
I hope things are getting better for you and while I'm not one to scream get a lawyer....I agree with the others that you really need one! Don't talk to his insurance company or agree to anything until you talk to one. He owes you a car and your medical expenses at the very least.

UPDATE:

I got a lawyer who is taking care of everything. I don't know anything about the driver that hit us or if he had insurance yet. Today they told me my car is a total loss they will be coming to see the valu of my car to pay me out... This is my insurance. I hope to god its more then what I owe on it.

We are still pretty hurt so we are going to a chiropractor to adjust my back and work on my arm and with my daughter her neck and back. I think on saturday I completely broke down. I have never had an easy life and it seems like it never will be. I know its just a car but it always feels like if I take one step forward I always get hit 5 steps back.

I know I'm just depressed right now and I will get over it. ( I always do) but DAMN IT! when is it my turn to have a nice life? I'm just venting but if you knew what my life was all about you would understand.

I guess I have to look at the better side. My daughter and I are still alive with no broken bones and it could have been so much worse then it was. I just feel beaten down but I will rise again.

Thank you all for careing it really does make me feel better. I don't have really anyone to talk to about this and its all new to me so you guys being in my corner really make me feel like I can over come this and move up in life.

Also anyone who is in a car accident like this please get a lawyer it is sssssssoooooo much easier. The stress level is insane and he has taken so much of my stress away from this.
