We're practically neighbors!! Your profile says you haven't yet had your surgery... do you have a date yet? I'm about 10 weeks post op... I had my surgery 11/11/13. It would be nice to "connect" with someone local... Hope to hear from you!

I'm thrilled to have someone to connect with. Mine will be 2/6/14. On the pre diet now. Nervous, excited, ready. Going to Mexico for this. After much research and deliberation, chose Dr Lopez-Ortega and his team. How are you feeling. Any problems?

I live in DuBois Having my surgery in Altoona, hopefully August/September. Still jumping through hoops for my insurance company and attending my 6 months of doctor visits.

I am so close to dubois! I was a student teacher there in 2004. I'm hoping to find a WLS support group in Dubois because I drive 1.5 hours to Butler right now for mine. Let me know if you know of one!

Hi! The closest support group (hospital-run) that I know of is in Altoona, where I'm having my surgery. I think Butler is farther to me from Altoona. I don't know of any groups in DuBois or around, but then - I haven't really looked. Maybe we should start our own

There's a support group in. Chambersburg through summit health meets monthly. Although I had surgery abroad, all are welcome open free forum. Found out from my nutritionist. Anyone who finds chambersburg convenient, is welcome to contact me for more info.

I didn't know there was a support group in Chambersburg! Cool... I may have to check it out sometime! Have you gone? Now, since I've had my surgery, my surgeons opened a Carlisle office... after all those days of an hour drive to Harrisburg for appointments!! Their support groups are still in Harrisburg though.

Its in the summit health buildings 1st week of the month, the day varies. Theres a bariatric surgoens office there an
d its one of the offices my nut works thru. She gave me the flier. Next one is April 2nd @7pm 757 Norland ave summit health center building 2. First floor sign in building down long hall to surgical group office. I haven't been to the support meeting yet, missed the March one, going to try for the 2nd. Depends on work schedule. Im excited to meet other patients
