Clear Liquids

Well, I start my clear liquids today in prep for my colonoscopy tomorrow. I guess this will tell me if I can make it through the pre-op and post-op liquid diets for the surgery. So far I am doing ok and have not want any food but it has only been a few hours. I really want this so I am sure I can do it. When you want something so bad you can do anything (with the right tools).

I am now on day 6 of my 7 day liquid diet....you can read my blog to see my progress...not always so good but i do have some suggestions for you....canned or container broth is boring.....find a asian restaurant that can give you a container of their broth. Its really good and soooo much better than the store bought stuff. Also, I found that sugar free jello....although at first i hated it.....has become my friend. I'm not a popcicle eater but i have read that people enjoy those also. Good luck!!

Randi...glad to hear you are doing ok with the pre-op diet. Mine too, has been a struggle but yesterday the nutritionist said I didn't have to drink the nasty unflavored shakes...so today is looking much brighter!
Best of luck with surgery. Mine is on the 17th.
