5 weeks in. How much weight were you losing?

I am at week 5 and have lost 24 lbs. I guess that is good but I really thought especially in the beginning, it would come off faster. I haven't lost ANYTHING in a week. So I am curious if my weight loss is typical? Were there weeks in the beginning that you lost nothing? I know of course that every one is different.

I am right there with you I haven't lost anything down 25 and that's it no more since week after surgery not sure if it's what I'm eating or not eating ...good luck

I'm 3 weeks out I'm down 21 pounds haven't lost anything for a week either, I'm sure it's normal to stall I've seen forums where some have up your protein and exercise a little as well

I am 4 weeks out and have only lost 16lbs......very frustrating but then again, I have never lost 16lbs in a month on my own.

I am 2 weeks and 2 days out and have lost 24 lbs. My doctor told me he wanted me to lose 27 the first month which would be 10% of my start weight. He told me I would most likely hit a stall in my first month. I am sure you will start losing again soon!!

I had my sleeve on 1/15. Lost 12 lbs on pre-op diet and am now down a total of 35 lbs. I guess that makes it 23 lbs. I guess we are in the same ball park!

4 weeks post for me and down 29 pounds !!!! I have had a few stalls but averaging about .5 pounds a day!!!!

3 weeks out 16 lbs down...I'm with you guys too! I think everybody body is different but I know we will all eventually hit stalls. But we just need to trust that the surgery will work!!!

A stall at that point is very common. Stalls Suck! Just keep an eye on your protein and water intake. Keep focused and your activity up and you will start to lose again. Losing 5lbs a week is a fantastic weight loss by the way.

Yep Yep Yep week 5 stalled.....I have lost 35 lbs since surgery date 1/11/13 and a total of 9 inches so feeling good about that. But have not gone down in weight for about a week now Have up'd my walking to try and kick this thing

I also amnearly five weeks out and I lost 20 pounds my first week and maybe a couple of pounds since. I was hoping the weight would come off faster.

I just looked at my weight loss journal (and yes, I weigh myself each and every day) and at 5 weeks post-op I too was down 24 pounds. I think I would have lost more if I would have be released for exercise (which I was at 30 days post-op). I have never gone more than 10 days without losing weight but I totally attribute that to my workout behaviors..lol
