Mexico gastric sleeve places that are closer to texas

I am just wondering if there are any places in Mexico that would be closer for me than traveling to Calf. The ones I see mainly I would have to fly and I would like to be closer to home. Does anyone know of any place and if so does anyone know which one is the best?

Some patients go to Juarez for surgery. You could just drive to El Paso and stay in the Hotel there and I think they have a driver to take you back and forth to the hospital.

Dr. Alvarez is just across the border in Eagle Pass TX you would probably fly to San Antonio. He is one of the best out there. Endobariatric.com

Thanks. I love that I found this site people here are so helpful and I have been concerned about going to Mexico but after reading stories on here I feel better about making a choice to borrow the money and go soon and get this done. My insurance will not pay for it and I have friends that paid a lot more in the states but I don't have the money they have so I didn't think I would ever get to do this now I feel like it is possible. Thanks to everyone and if any one else has more information I am more that willing to hear from you as well.

Dr Ortiz is in Tijuana, so you would have to fly to San Diego.

I would absolutely recommend Dr Alvarez for you - he was #2 on my list and essentially I just couldn't come up with quite enough $$ to go with him (desperately wanted to be able to just drive there instead of flying to San Diego).

But, I did buy his book and I subscribe to his YouTube channel, etc. Not even having been sleeved by him, I would recommend him! He's clearly a leader in the sleeve!

I don't do when in flying and was concerned about how uncomfortable I will feel so close to someone after surgery. The one that is closest to me is 8000 so by the time I drive there it may just be easier to borrow the other 2000 to go to the doctor here in louisiana. I am still looking around I am not in the biggest hurry. I still have to wait until about March before I will be able to actually do something.

I'm going to doctor rodriguez-villareal in juarez. Through beliteweight.com I read this forum and saw several different people that had really good experiences with them. It is 6800 there, but I opted for it for a few reasons. I live close so I can drive down to el paso and they will pick me up at the airport so I can park my car there while I am away. (i think when i fly its like 35 a week so not bad) They transport you across the border and back when you are done. They keep you in a private hospital room, where many of your cheaper ones put you in a shared hotel room, and I am just not that fond of sharing a room with someone, especially after surgery. They also provide a fold out bed for my mom to sleep on since she is coming with me. (they have pictures on the website of the hospital, i think its called star-medica) and you can check out their hospital rooms. Ive seen a lot of the cheaper ones dont offer that accomodation. I usually fly southwest, but if you want to drive then you dont really have to shop around for tickets. I really based my decision on reading different peoples experiences on this website, to decide just what i was willing to compromise on. I know I saw one in on the other side of texas i was looking into, but didnt see enough info and the cost difference didnt outweigh the trip out of the area.
I did a blog so that people could see what I looked into when I decided who to choose, and why, so that hopefully it could provide others direction while facing the same choice.

I am having my surgery from Dr Alvarez in Mexico. I will be flying to San Antonio Texas and then driving about 2 hrs to the hospital that he works out of.

I have heard very good things about Alvarez but he is several thousand more expensive. He also does not accept charge cards and the financer they have is outrageous.
