I have always been small B cup regardless of my weight. I told my plastic surgeon that I did not want to have a large cup size, that i would be happy with a large B. I ended up with saline implants positioned under the muscle. I am 5 foot two, and small breasts seem to run in my family. So I am not sure what I think of my bra size at this point. They look good, my husband likes them, but I am having difficulty with buttoning some of my medium size shirts, which is what I told my surgeon that I did NOT want. What I have found most interesting about bra sizes is that if you go to a high-end store like Neiman Marcus, my cup size is a triple D. Which is not the case at all! My plastic surgeon forewarned me about this, so I wasn't surprised when she brought in that size for me to try on. If I put on my old size 38B bra my breasts are just a bit big. Would I do it again? Yes, alhough I think I would have insisted on a bit smaller size. I am still just 4 months out, so perhaps swelling is still a bit of the problem. I've been told it can take 6 months to a year (or longer) for all the swelling to subside.
I think a lot of my confusion is due to body image issues. I am 59 and no plastic surgery is going to make me look great with nice taut skin. Be thankful you are young and your skin has such great elasticity. Here is a link to a website I have found to be helpful:
What Type of Breast Lift Do I Need? (photo) Doctor Answers, Tips (the first answer is from Dr. Rumalla (my doctor). The second comment sounded like this might be more what you are looking for. I had never heard of the "Ultimate Breast Lift." Anyway, hope this helps and good luck with your upcoming surgery. It will be interesting to hear what your final decision is.
