The one thing I would stay away from is baby food. It is very high in carbs...........I didn't know this until I had brought it home. Thought I had a for sure thing and ended up sharing it with my grandson instead. He was happy! I also agree with the Panera soup suggestions. I was my go to place and made life bearable during this stage. Good luck to you!!

Basically, anything you can put into a food processor or blender and make smooth is ok. Just remember to make sure it's high protein, low carb and low fat. Baby food tends to be bland and high in carbs.

I did cereal (Special K Protein) and milk (Blue Diamond Unsweetened Vanilla Almond) in my Ninja - it was nice breakfast.

    Hi Everyone
This may be on here already, but I didn't want to sift through everything to find out

There are two "dishes" that I am really enjoying

    1. Tuna with 1 triangle of tomato laughing cow cheese, 1/4 of an avocado, and a bit of seasoning salt
I put that in my nutri-bullett and it is amazing
    2. Canned chicken breast, Gorgonzola cheese, buffalo sauce, a few sprinkles of ranch dressing herbs (you buy the packet to make your own dressing), a dab of miracle whip.
This was the tastiest thing that I have had yet. So good.

I decided to get creative, because I haven't been able to find much on the web for the puréed stage besides your normal eggs, cream of wheat, pudding, etc... So I came up with a few dishes that would give me some good nutrition with some flare. I used my family to taste test for me, since I'm not allowed to take in puréed food until Monday. All these got unanimous approval. They only took a few ingredients, a food processor (picked one up at Wal-Mart for $40), and I used 2oz disposable mini-cups with lids to portion them and make them easy to take and toss.

    About the Jury:

My Wife - 36 - Loves Mexican food more than most. Average and sensible tastes.
My Teen - 17 - Not afraid to voice her opinion and has to be able to taste her food (nothing bland), loves outside the box.
My Toddler - 3 - The pickiest eater I've ever met, whose dreaded 'YUCKIES!' have plagued our dinner table for well over a year now.

    Dish #1: Taste of Italy

    Made 11, 2oz Servings.

    Calories: 39
    Fat: 0.7g
    Carbs: 3g
    Sugars: 2.6g
    Protein: 4.8g

    Ingredients:

1 4/5 Cup - Fat Free Ricotta Cheese (Frigo)
1/4 Cup -Shredded Parmeasean Cheese (Treasure Cove)
3 Tbsp - Tomato Paste (Hunts)
    1 Tbsp - 1% Milk (HyVee)
To Taste - Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Oregano, Thyme, & Basil

    Dish #2: BBQ Chicken

    Made 9, 2oz Servings.

    Calories: 62
    Fat: 1.7 g
    Carbs: 1.7g
    Sugars: 1.1g
    Protein: 10g

    Ingredients:

20oz - Premium Chunk Chicken in Water (HyVee)
    5 Tbsp - Barbecue Sauce (Stubb's, Original)
To Taste - Sea Salt & Black Pepper

    Dish #3: TexMex Chicken

    Made 11, 2oz Servings.

    Calories: 58
    Fat: 1.4g
    Carbs: 2.1
    Sugars: 0.5g
    Protein: 9g

    Ingredients:

20oz - Premium Chunk Chicken in Water (HyVee)
1/2 Cup - Fat Free Refried Bean (Old El Paso)
3 Tbsp - Fat Free Sour Cream (HyVee)
3 Tbsp - Medium Salsa (On The Border, Lime & Cilantro)
To Taste - Sea Salt & Black Pepper

    Dish #4: Tuna Salad

    Made 9, 2oz Servings.

    Calories: 52
    Fat: 1g
    Carbs: 1.1g
    Sugars: 0.4g
    Protein: 9.2

    Ingredients:

2 (6.4oz) pouches - Chunk Light Tuna in Water (Starkist)
4 Tbsp - Dill Pickle Relish (HyVee)
4 Tbsp - Miracle Whip Light Salad Dressing
To Taste - Sea Salt & Black Pepper

I simply combined the ingredients in the food processor and puréed until they were a smooth, lump less consistency. I portioned them into my disposable containers, labeled each with what it was (they all look alike when puréed) and the date I made them, and I even put them into a larger Tupperware container to keep them together, organized, and out of my wife's way in the fridge.

Hopefully, these help someone out there - looking for something less boring on their purée diet phase (We've been through a lot to get yo this stage, it's okay to have things that are good for us and taste good, too). If nothing else, it helps spark your creativity and we have even more ideas to share with our fellow sleevers.

I lived off this buffalo chicken recipe. Very easy to make. I used an immersion blender which works much better than a regular blender.

    Ingredients:
    1 can of chicken
1 Tbsp. low-fat blue cheese crumbles
    2 Tbsp. light ranch dressing
    1 tsp. buffalo sauce

Directions: Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
