    Default December 30 Day Challenge

    December 30 day Challenge
Open to anyone and everyone sleeved or not. In honor of the original thread starter, Tara, who I'm sure has gotten to goal (and gotten married!) by now, so I'm giving her a shout out.

    Here is how it works.

Post your goals for December. See what you want to do to make the best out of the next 30 days. This can be any changes you want to make. Work out more(set days a week maybe) drink more water, eat more protein, and a final goal for weight loss for the month. Be sure to post your starting weight as well so we can all see your progress. Check back in with us as often as you can so we can see your progress and offer support. Check back in with your final report on December 30th, or, as I prefer, January 1. Good luck!
    Starting weight: 255
    Pre-op weight: 228
    Surgery date: 3/14/2012

    For me:

    1) Meditate-I am still not doing it and I'm suffering stress b/c of it.
    2) Keep up the isometric exercises that the Physical Therapist has Rx'd for me.
    3) Get going on the water walking (also Rx'd by the PT)
    4) Weightwise, 170 would be nice. I'm 174 now, forgot what I was last month, like 176 or something. Very slow on the weight loss b/c my ability to exercise has been severely curtailed plus I have a slow metabolism in the first place.

    My goal for December:

Lose 19 pounds. It's a lot, and I accept I may not make it, but my original goal when I had the surgery was to be 199 by christmas.

I will work out five days a week at curves.

    Pounds LOST since surgery 111
    Finally reached Onderland 3/1/2013
    Height 5'3" Small frame
Starting BMI day of surgery : 45.7 MORBIDLY OBESE CLASS 3
    BMI current 26.0 OVERWEIGHT

my first goal is to get to 141pounds, that will put me in the NORMAL range bmi. My second goal is 120, which is thin and healthy.

I do love this..... My goals:

    1) Lose 8 lbs - I am 147lbs today and would love to see the 130's by the new year. It would be AMAZING if I could make goal and lose 12lbs but I'm not pushing it. I lost 11lbs in November.

    2) I never thought this would be a goal, but... Move down into a size FOUR pants. My 6's are a little loose so I'd like to fit comfortably into a 4. I haven't been a size 4 EVER in my life. When I started this journey I could only dream about being a size 8 and thought maybe, just maybe I could get to a 6 but never did I think a 4. BUT I'm going for it

    3) Stick with Insanity - I started doing Insanity with my husband at the end of October. We took almost 2 weeks off when him and my kids were sick but have been back at it and I want to make sure I stick with it all month long. It is 6 days a week of intense cardio interval training.

    4) I should probably get better about taking my vitamins. I've been horrible about this the last few months.

    5) Need to work on getting more protein.

    6) Need to be more vigilant about my water intake.

So... that's me. Can't wait to see where we all are in a month

Trip to NYC Dec 1, 2011 - around 270 if I had to guess
    PCP Appt. March 1, 2012 - 260 lbs
    Bariatrics March 23, 2012 - 257lbs
    Day of Surgery May 24, 2012 - 230lbs
    39 Days Post-Op July 2, 2012 - 199lbs
    247 Days Post-Op January 25, 2013 - 135lbs GOAL
