Default 8 Month Update - Dr. Alvarez

I haven't posted in awhile, its crazy how time just gets away from us. I had the sleeve done 8 months ago and it has changed my life so much - for the better! I am down 61 lbs, 3 from my goal. I will never be able to explain how wonderful the entire experience has been and how thankful I will forever be to Dr. Alvarez and his entire staff. I researched this very scary, life changing decision and my only regret was I didn't do it 5 years sooner. When I say time has gotten away from me, it really has. I used to never want to leave my house and now we (my family) is on the go non stop.

The first few days were not plesent, but they were not the worst in the world either. I now pretty much eat what I want just in moderation. My body pretty much tells me if I have eaten too much (I have done that and I will throw up), or the wrong thing. I have had a few glasses of wine, again no problem. I have not had one single soft drink (coke, dp, etc.), and do not plan on it either. I drink a lot of unsweet tea and gatorade. Salads still are not my friend and I do miss those, but I love fresh veggies and fruit. I think its just the lettuce that does not like me.

I can't think of much else to share. Oh, shopping is a bit of an issue now - lol. I went from 14/16 to 4/6 and its much more fun now.

    Take Care!

One more thing....my recovery was so easy as for as day to day. Watch what you pick up as far as weight, but I really didn't miss more than a few days. I wish I could have milked it for a a week or more, but I wanted to start living my life and that included day to day stuff. I went back to work the following Monday but could have easily gone back in 3 to 4 days.

I did have some hair loss, but not terrible. I cut my hair really short in a pixy and I love it and get so many compliments on it. Hair has stopped falling out too.
