Questions .. one for everyone.. the other for the ladies

Hey everyone,

I am almost 2 weeks post op and I am afraid I am not losing weight. I would not say I am sad about it. I just don't know how to feel. I am on Atkins protein shakes, yoghurt (low fat) and broth. and I drink water as well.everything goes down ok. to be honest I don't feel "sleeved" . I really do want to lose weight and I hope i do.. any advice?

Second question.. for the ladies;

I am very busty and I need a sports bra. In England I buy my bras from one store and they do not have sports bras my size. Could any of you in America or Elsewhere recommend a website that deals with sports bras for busty women (super busty!!! from Kcup upwards). I have visited America several times and I don't have a sports Bra My size in the plus size shops.

I figured, if my body is not losing weight, I may as well exercise. I am trying to avoid getting depressed about it all. I wont lie... I am having a bit of buyers remorse. I hope I can come back to say everything is fine .... I can only hope.

Check your measurements. Even though the scale may not show a weight loss, you're probably losing inches.

I am too big for bravissimo, i am one of those that are so full up there!!! *frustrating* thanks alot. As for the weightloss... its not going for now but i will keep being patient.

Ebony buy some ketostix, they will show whether you are in ketosis, which if you're just on liquids you will be. This will show that your sleeve is working. Secondly call the hospital, they will be able to put your mind at rest. (you will be losing weight, as vickybead said It doesn't always show by stepping on the scales, don't forget you've had surgery, your body's trying to recover from that, & trying to work out why its not being fed)

You may be holding onto the fluids that they pumped into you, but at this point I'd call your doc. 2 weeks is patient enough to express some concern.

THIS is my go-to bra, pay no attention to the largest size (40DD) Mine fit in there and are way over that and are the most comfortable they've ever been. And if you want to return them they have a no hassle return policy, even though they are in the states. I'd also talk to one of the customer reps just to make sure it would work for you being in the UK, fit, etc.

You can buy them at any chemist, also if your local Tesco or Asda has a pharmacy they sell them there too.

Do you feel swollen or full of fluids? Maybe for some reason you are retaining fluids, and considering they pumped you full of fluids at the hospital that may be an issue. Are you getting in the recommended amount of fluids per day, it not your body may be keeping what is has thinking it is not getting enough. Hope it all works out for you.

I know how you feel... I thought it wouldn't work for me ... Over a month I still feel the same .... But the fact is that even if its slow you WILL lose weight! Just give it time .... Think long term!! Think next summer God willing we'll sexy mamas

Everyone is different! But in the end we all lose weight. I lost weight until about 3 weeks out, and haven't budged a pound since. What I'm learning is the results of the surgery are so individual for us. It will come off!!! How can it not? You will be fine and skinny in no time!

Have you weighed yourself yet? I barely did and I'm not on all fluids, surgery date was sale as yours and I really don't feel like I've list any weight. But I checked last night and I'm at 283 I was shocked because I still feel the same. We all lose weight slower or faster so you need to jump on a scale for the truth.

I did today and there is really no loss or my scale s broken.. and i am mainly on liquids because i forget to eat but i try as much as i can to get them in. my purred starts next week. I am hoping it should be fine then. I am a bit fed up with it all.. but i will be positive. thanks girl.

I'm thinking scale is broken! Also is women retain a lot of fluid, try another scale! And don't get discouraged!
