    Default Discomfort

Whenever I eat, after a few bites, I feel like I've swallowed a lot of air and air bubbles are trying to fight their way up and out while I am swallowing another bite. It really hurts sometimes. Anyone else have this?

I do.. I find that it happens when I don't chew enough or don't wait long enough for the other bite to go down. Try slowing down and chewing very well. It works for me.

    I lost 20 lbs on pre-op diet.
    The rest is post-op victory.

I have that same problem even with just drinking water. It really hurts and I am afraid it will keep me feom getting in enough water. How long until it goes away? I wish i would have known about this before hand.

Yes, I am sipping water out of the 2 oz cups and it really helps a lot.

I get that also, mine seems to be due to swallowing too much at one time , so its my reminder to take smaller bites/swallows of water or food
