Do you get really bad gas pains? if, so how long do they last and are they tolerable? How do they knock you out before surgery? about how long is the surgery? I guess thats it for now I'm not really nervous but I like to know how i will feel physically before anything
They used general anesthesia on me, I was able to get up and go to the bathroom, on my own, as soon as I woke up. I never hurt in my stomach, or incision sites, but I had a pretty bad pain in my left should (caused by gas)...it is really uncomfortable, and you do have to slowly ease into getting up and down. The surgery takes less than an hour. By the time I went home I was able to resume my normal daily life...I even went to a casino 3 days after my surgery

Just over 3 weeks out & don't regret it for 1 second!!! Has it been easy, physically yes. I've recovered well from surgery, had very little pain & my gas moved out quickly if smelly!

Emotionally I'm all over the place, I can't watch tv with any sort of emotional stuff I'm in tears! Lol.

Don't get me wrong I am not sad ! Far from it, I'm over the moon! I have found that I am not an emotional eater! Yay! My eyes are Defo bigger than my belly lol which is HILAR! But hey even the small portions I'm giving myself are too much!

I haven't weighed myself, (I'm OCD so no scales in my house) will get weighed next week at my follow up.

I think I can notice a difference, but then I think I might be kidding myself. I'm very self critical!

I've not felt hunger, a bit of head hunger, some food tastes different & I don't like it anymore. I've not had any problems with being sick & only slight nausea when moving from full liquids to mush , but gently does it. My plan is to be on solids for Christmas dinner ( a teeny tiny Christmas dinner lol)

I had a really rough recovery. I ended up getting phenmonia 3 weeks post and was in the hospital for 9 days. Even with this, I do not regret having the surgery. I won't lie it was pretty aweful (looking back) for about 2 months with food. Then I went through this phase where ABSOLUTLY nothing tasted or felt good to eat. That lasted the next 2 months. I am almost 11 months out an I have only lost 5 pounds in the last 5 months. I don't know if that is because I lost a lot up front or if my body is on revolt. I use myfitnesspal an work out now 3-5 a week. What ever happens now, I know I have the tools in place to make sure I do not gain this weight back. Just because I have been in this long of a stall, I am not going to give up. This is a huge difference from before. If I had a stall like this before on a diet, I would have given up by now an been going back up on the scale. I know that surgery was a LAST resort for me; so no matter how far out from surgery I get; I will always be thinking I had surgery to give me a tool to control this monster... Now use it!
You won't regret getting your life back!

Love being sleeved...no regrets here. The first couple months are definatley a learning experience. Between healing and finding balance with protein shakes, food, fluids and then add exercise: you have to keep your focus. This lifestyle is a completely different way to think about food becuase you simply eat less...and yes you can have a small treat once in while just increase your exercise for the day.

I don't think about food the same way and try to keep it simple with my basic foods. Love the weight loss and high-energy levels. I actually started skipping the other day...random...but I am so happy and feel great
