I cant remember if my Dr. said we can or can't take capsules with our new tummy. Thanks!
I have been taking capsules (Nexium) since the day I got home from the hospital. They were prescribed by my surgeon.
Heaviest: 387 pounds (1999)
Weight last appointment prior to surgery: 265 (6/29/12)
Weight beginning of two-week full liquid/high protein diet: 265 (7/25/12)
Weight day of surgery (8/8/12): 253.2
ONEDERLAND: 12/10/12: 198
100 pounds lost 7/3/13
Reached goal weight of 160 pounds on 9/9/13 (1 year, 1 month, and 1 day post-op)
Im only 4 days post op and my surgeon sent me home with capsules and pills only. I take a capsule pill for gas, a prilosec and my oxycodone which i cut in half, and a biotin. Ive been fine with them. I take each pill with a fair amount to help it go down and i space 1 minute with each pill swallowed. Im sure you can
Lacey -- the day of surgery my surgeon said I could take anything if is less than 1/2" immediately. I have been. Bigger pills (like flax seed oil) are easy too. No worries.

1 month: 185.4 lbs; 2 months: 170 lbs, size 16; 3 months: 162.6 lbs, size 14; 4 months: 151.8 lbs; 5 months: 143.2 lbs, size 10; 6 months: 142.4 lbs stalls suck ; 7 months: 131.2 lbs, size 6 - 8; 9 months 130.2, size 6 - no real loss in 2 months -- Think I am done!
The only thing I remember dr telling me is we should not take time release capsules because our tummy will dissolve before the rest of the dose released.
