So Im trying to get all the information about GS that I can. Hoping to get sleeved in January. My dear sweet husband has so far had very few questions. He has been very supportive of my decision to do this. We were high school sweethearts so hes seen me thru thick and thin (literally). He said he doesnt care how I look but wants to see me healthy and able to enjoy doing the things I love instead of watching on the side lines. Kind of hard to ride my horse when I require a step ladder to get on him. Not much fun for either of us.

So the big question. ..how has this changed your sex life? I can deal with hair loss, and not eating the things that I shouldnt be but really hoping that this will not create a drop in libido. To be blunt it wont be much fun to finally be able to do gymnastics in bed if Im not in the mood. Any sleevers willing to give advice?

My libido had been through the roof and have lots of energy since surgery and since the weight started dropping off, not to mention the multiple ways to bend and move.

Mine is just the opposite, but I really can't be at all certain it's tied to the sleeve at all. I believe it's just age, menopause and perhaps the fact that I eat a lot less sugar/carbs now than I used to. Those foods feed serotonin and I've been a little more down than usual in the past 9 months or so and my "drive" has gone down with it. Hubby is happy with twice a week, thankfully. I used to be a once a day and twice on weekends kind of woman. I do find if I have carbs a couple days in a row things are more likely to happen, which is why I'm working on being able to slowly eat more than 40 carbs a day without gaining. Honestly this has been the most frustrating (though not literally) part of this whole thing... seeing gyno next week, but won't do hormones, will just live with it. He'll just have to learn to ply me with ice cream

It hasn't really been that long since my surgery but I have already noticed that my libido has sky rocketed!!! It wasn't slow by any means before the surgery but its insane now... The only problem I'm having is making sure I don't get pregnant cause of how recently I've gotten sleeved.

My surgeon said 2 forms of protection.... very prone to getting preg after getting sleeved.. so be careful out there!!! LOL... I think its the normal 2 week waiting time after.. but I was still in abdomen hell then so there was no way that was happening.. until you can lay back and the bed .. and bring yourself to a sitting up position.. it will be painful... but.. with everything else being said.. when you lose .. you get confidence.. so there's your answer.. he will be thanking you in more ways than one... I am approaching menopause also.. and this damn sleeve kicked me right out of it.. and now getting "FLO" again... YOU ASKED!!!!!.. SORRY TMI.. LOL

Well. Lucky me! Had a hysterectomy so no preggers and no Flo. WootWoot. One of my NSV's is definitely going to be going "parking" again.

My husband and I always talk about how different I feel . It's kinda like a new gal in bed. The other morning, in the midst of it all, we stopped and stuck our legs up in the air to see whose is thinner now. Damn, mine looked good!

My libido was raging immediately after the sleeve, then dropped off suddenly. Like Grace, I think it may be menopause or the different diet, but definately not the same as before the surgery.

I hope it doesn't effect my libido - or lack of one. I've been divorced for 14 years and no boyfriend. I'm 64 and it doesn't matter now.

My libido died after surgery. I am post menopause for 12 years. I dunno what happened. I was a once a day and more kinda gal. My boyfriend is supportive, but concerned. We have sex once a week whether I am horny or not.

Just an update. This has gotten better in the last month.... my hormones tested back to pre-surgery level and my interest is back up....
