I am in Richardson. I don't have a doctor yet and thus no date. I've seen ads for Dr. Nicholson, Dr. Kim and several others. I'm interested in trying to find out the best surgeon to go with. I would love your feedback. Thanks in advance!

I live in East Texas and had surgery in Dallas on Sept.6. My husband had his surg Sept 19. We both used Dr. David Kim and we were very pleased. I got online and did some research on him before scheduling an appt. I wanted to make sure the Drs office was accredited as a bariatric center of excellence.
Also, we used Forest Park Medical Center and the care was outstanding.

I started with Dr David Kim, loved him but had insurance issues (he quit going to the hospitals my insurance required). I used Dr Joseph Kuhn and would recommend either in a heart beat. I personally had surgery at Medical City in Dallas and the care was outstanding.

My mom and I both are using Dr. David Kim. (my surgery is in the morning). My mom had her surgery a couple weeks ago. The nurse she had take care of her said that she would choose Dr. Kim also out of the surgeons that operate at Forest Park. The nurse said he was the most skilled in the operating room. His office is also awarded as a Center of Excellence. His office, where you go to see him and the other staff members every time except during surgery, is located in Colleyville.

I would look around and research to find the one you are most comfortable with. But I highly recommend Dr. Kim.

Wow all these Dr Kim patients! I'm in the Ft Worth area and Dr Adam Smith is my doctor. I don't have a surgery date yet but I have two more nutrition visits to finish up and all my ore reqs will be done.

I used Dr Sheetal Patel at The Bariatric Surgery Institute at The Medical Center of Plano. She and her staff have been absolutely above board on every little detail. I can't say enough good things about them or the hospital.

I've received several calls checking on me since my surgery and Dr Patel even called to check in on me today.

I'm in Little Elm. I had my surgery done by Dr. Nick Nicholson and he did a GREAT job. Nice meeting all of you and good luck in the pre-op process and surgery!

I am in Dallas and had surgery in December.

I just had my surgery on 2/27/12 with Dr. Charlotte Hodges with Barker Bariatric Center. She is a little fireball, and was great. She explained everything and has been wonderful. Based on my experience thus far, would recommend her!

Im also in Dallas using Dr Nick Nicholson. I had to change at the last minute due to insurance restrictions but after talking with Dr Nicholson I am glad I chose him.

I'm in Dallas, I have 2 appointments set up, one for Dr. Birdwell in Garland and the other with Dr. Ritter in Rowlett. I'm exploring options, and want to keep it close to home, but if I'm not comfortable with either of them I'll be going to Dr. Kim next.
