I live in a city called Newark, TX which is North of Fort Worth, TX. I work in Dallas very close to DFW airport. Planning my surgery for Jan 2013! I'll be going to Tijuana, Mexico.
Yes, my surgeon was Dr. James Davidson and I had the operation at Forest Park Medical Center. While there, a few of the nurses told me they thought he was the best. They said some of the other surgeons perform up to 13 surgeries a day, which seems like a lot of surgeries. I have 100% total trust in Dr. Davidson and can recommend him highly. Forest Park is a really nice, new hospital, too.
I'm sure some of the other bariatric surgeons at Forest Park are good, too.
Day 4 post op... Dr. Smith with Fort Worth Lap Band... surgery at Baylor Trophy Club... Man, you couldn't ask for better treatment... there are 20 rooms.. That's it.. You have dedicated nurses, pain control, respiratory therapist, and aides. They did 3 surgeries there that day...
I had my surgery in WI (started the process before I moved) but I need to find a bariatric doctor to follow up with here in Texas. I'm pretty sure there isn't anything here in Stephenville or Granbury but does anyone have any recommendations for Weatherford/Fort Worth/Dallas? I have United Healthcare for insurance.

Hello everyone! I am scheduled to have my lap band removed and doing a revision to he sleeve. My surgeon is Dr. Fox and both he and is staff are amazing!
Hi all y'all,
I don't have a date yet, but it will be soon. My surgeon is Dr. David Provost of Denton, TX. He is well-known by other surgeons because he taught (proctored) many of the surgeons here (i.e. Kuhn), and doctors send problem patients to him to fix. I'm very lucky to have found him. Granted, it's an hour drive to get to his office in Denton, but I am a high-risk, high BMI with multiple co-morbidites. I belong to a number of other groups, but can we ever have too much support? I don't think so. Looking forward to getting to know you. Do you go to a support group locally?
