Yesterday I swore I was going to black out at one point after trying to eat some lettuce. I got sick real fast, clammy, & dizzy. But thats the only time that has happened to me. Was a scarey feeling. I used to love salad.....now Im not so sure I want to try that again! LOL
Wish I had a better answer for you. Best of Luck!

This happens more often than I'd like to admit.... I'm still working on learning to slow down. To Shellyssweets, don't get discouraged about salad... that's something you should wait at least 3 months for. Raw veggies are very fibrous and take a lot to break down and digest so they are rough on a healing sleeve. Give yourself a little more time and give it a go again. Good luck to both of you.

I hate that feeling! You are not alone. The habbit of eating too fast is definitely a hard one to break.

Gotta say I am so happy to hear that salad can go in the sleeve eventually! I love salads and have missed them!

Yes that happens to me a lot. I feel sick after eating and I miss salad so much. I tried to eat some salad a couple days ago and I thought I was going to throw-up. I had to lay down and swallow hard to keep it down. I feel sick a lot and I hope it's not going to be this way the rest of my life. I'm 9 months out and have a very picky sleeve.

If I eat too fast I get sick, very sick. I am still (like most of us) having to learn to continue to take small bites, chew well, and listen to your body.

Shelly, I didn't even attempt to eat salad for 4 months, and then it was very cautiously. I only eat small amounts of lettuce and make sure there is some protein with it.

As far a getting that 'I gotta throw up' feeling after eating too fast, YEP, I get it every time I eat too fast. Old habits are hard to breakk, so I end up doing this about once a week, and either throw up, or feel really uncomfortable for about an hour. We just have to learn to slow down!
