Flame Free--what was your WORST eating day after being sleeved?

I am going to be honest.

A few weeks ago I had pizza for the first time since surgery. I hadn't gone grocery shopping yet and there wasn't really anything to eat. My husband ordered the new garlic bread pizza from Pizza Hut. I was just going to refrain from eating anything. Well I ended up having a piece. I realized it was a slider for me for sure!! I ate that piece. I got really full. Then an hour later I went back and had another damn piece!! I mean it's literally garlic bread with pizza cheese and toppings. It was so soft and easy to consume. *Sigh!*

talk about NOT being a good sleever, right? I could have perhaps forgiven myself for one piece of pizza since I haven't had any in 5 1/2 months. But then to go back an hour later and eat another piece? Wow! I know that's what grazing is and now I see what the talk is about. I have been eating 3-4 small portioned meals a day that are high protein but I totally grazed that day. I learned a hard lesson! I just had to confess this is in public!

I know it's okay to eat something indulgent every once in a while...but I just think that "grazing" really IS the way to eat around the sleeve. I seriously can't believe I did what I promised myself I wouldn't. I won't be doing anything like that again at least until I'm at goal and I can stop at just one piece on occasion.

So come on...what was YOUR worst eating day since being sleeved? No flaming here! We don't need to feel bad about having a bad day.

I was on a cruise recently with all the delicious food and I gave in and had a piece of thin crust pepperoni pizza. It was delicious and I had no guilt while eating it. I followed it with a peanut butter cookie! every day I ate one dessert..knowing I was going to gain weight. I did gain 4 lbs while on vacation, but suprisingly, it came off as fast as it went on. I had not indulged in unhealthy food in the past 7 months, and I'm sure I will do it again from time to time, but like you, I don't want to get into the habit of eating the wrong foods. Old habits are easy to slip back into.

Well about 3 mths after surgery I ate a reeses. Doesn't seem that wrong well it was easy to go down and tasted so good. Here however is where the problem developed I started eating 3 to 4 king size a day. That's pretty much all I ate. I started sabotaging my self. About a mths later I got back on track. I honestly didn't get serious about this diet until about 3a mths ago. Sad but true. I regret it all now because I missed my really easy period at loosing weight. I guess I was looking at it as a blowed beinger instead of a lifechange. I do give my self a frerday once in awile. I have got to where I don't binge

7 days post-op I pureed a cupcake. I realized that surgery didn't cure me of my food addiction. But I've decided to step back a stage in my diet until I can stop worrying about food.

I've gotten into the bad habit of slider foods. I know that's what has stalled my weight loss. What I find is that if I screw up and have a slider, then all of a sudden I've "blown it" and then I eat more and more. When I track my food on myfitnesspal and see what I'm eating, it disgusts me, but I'll have another day (or two) where it happens again. It's like my willpower has disappeared.

Slider food is a food that you eat that don't stick with you. Tulip I did the same thing. I actually got so bad I gained 14 Pds back. It is easy to do. Its scary pattern to get into easy. I have just now got back in track.

Hm, well, this weekend was a little bad. I ate out nearly every day and today had about 1/4 of a reuben sandwich from Culvers - it was sooo good but the calories... I also had about 1/4 c of ice cream - bad, bad, bad. I had been running all last week and didn't do my walking either. BUT I'm not going to let this defeat me!! I'm going to get back on my treadmill first thing tomorrow and am thinking about backing myself up to pureed foods again to kind of reset. Also, not buying ice cream anymore - the Schwann guy came and I bought it - would have walked by it at the store. Anyway, confession is over and on we go! My goal is to lose 20 more lbs. in the next 5 weeks before my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary party. Wish me luck!!!

Today I had three chocolate chip cookies, yes THREE!!! ....and a piece of tombstone pizza. I don't feel rotten about it...tomorrow is a new day :-)

So far so good this weekend. I did however have a sweet tooth also. I ate some sugar free cool whip and wardens calorie free chocolate syrup. I however plan on having a free day next Sunday. Im going to eat at olive garden and im going to have a dougnut.lol I am going to try to be good all this week. Lol

Tonite I realized I had only had 386 calories today so I ate some peanuts. They were a protein option. I probably shouldn't even have them in the house, but I figure if I am going to snack on something, it should be a protein at least. Friday I had bunco and we always have a dessert. This was a "Better than Brad Pitt" cake. It looked good, but I left so I wouldn't be tempted.

Yesterday was good. Had 4 tablespoons of ice cream (1/4 cup?) and otherwise everything was on my list and kept it below 800 (usually average 800-1000). The nice part was hopping on the scale this morning and see my diligence has paid off in 2 lbs down! Now if I would just get my butt off this computer chair and get motivate to do some exercise, I'm sure it would come off quicker. Unfortunately, I just hate exercise so much that I don't do it. I've lost 70 without it but am getting down to the nitty gritty now. Have to pay extra attention to what I eat. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone, everyone.
