Anyone in the Birmingham, Alabama area with VIVA insurance or anyone that can suggest a surgeon?

Hey I am in the Birmingham area and I am looking to try and get the sleeve in January. Has anyone in the area dealt with VIVA and can give me some pointers? Or recommend a good surgeon or general practitioner to get started with?

Hey Ashley! I don't have Viva and so am not familiar with their requirements. But as for surgeons, I would suggest Scott Pennington at Trinity. He did a big, unrelated surgery on me about 20 years ago and I trust him implicitly. I know this is a little late and you may have already even had the surgery done but I just saw your post. Hope you're doing well.

I live in Decatur and I am having my surgery at UAB. Dr. Stahl at the Kirkland clinic will be my surgeon. I have BC/BS. I started this process in April of last year and it has gone by pretty fast. My original plan was to have it in November but we had a death in the family that will prevent that from happening. So now the date I'm shooting for is March 19th. I will be glad to answer any questions you might have. Stay the course it will be worth it in the end.
